Indeed cjwoof, that would be completely mental, wouldn't it, we'd never do that!!! Wink

cjwoofwoof · 05/01/2015 11:22

Currently making great progress on the CJ lust fest household chores. The duet is just coming up and they've just had the lyrics handover in tent conversation, cue tongue roll...gets me every time sigh. So glad CJs come back to me.

Rhubarb01 · 05/01/2015 12:01

I'm back in the room but I shouldn't be. CJwoof you have a point about the weirdness of cyber chat - yes I suppose I am indulging in it along with everyone else whilst moaning about twitter! However, we've got a bit more room for expression and personality to come out here and to be honest I'd probably joke with my friends about these things if they shared this interest. However, I no longer feel like any of you are strangers. I think of you all as pen pals I haven't met!

cjwoofwoof · 05/01/2015 12:12

Ditto to that Rhubarb I'm just waiting for one of my cyber buddies to turn out to be my RL bff or sister or some such, mental or what? I don't blame BA for keeping well out of it though, must be soooo squirmy to think you've got menopausal old biddies like me leering at your pert bot or exquisite headpiece Wink

icemistOBE · 05/01/2015 12:23

Youngest asleep, 5yo watching Madagascar (again) so I've got Ep 1 on Grin

Ooh Icemist keep an eye out for "stay focussed" speech and note leg stance, gloves, rifle, helmet position and headpiece. How I've missed that after the 100 few times I've watched Ep 1 is a mystery Shock

icemistOBE · 05/01/2015 12:35

Just at the start at Bastion where CJ is mean to her! I really want to ruffle his lovely, unruly hair

Bit off the pace here - celeb meeting - Jonny Wilkinson at Newcastle Airport. Stood next to him in security queue. Even more staggeringly good looking in real life. Just a shame I am taller than him and too many years older!

Odd weekend - maybe another confession coming on.....

orphan · 05/01/2015 12:46

rhubarb you're the nuts! Just caught up on your ff and I'm in complete awe at how you've reimagined the OG story. I sooo want to see BA in this role now, striding toward his plane...! Can't wait for the next chapter.Smile

orphan · 05/01/2015 12:54

cjwoof I love the bit when CJ shouts, "what have we just learnt?". He's so stern and cross. I have to stop myself replying, " We've learnt we adore you! "

pixieg1rl · 05/01/2015 12:56

I think BA would look very good in vintage RAF uniform. Actually I might have lie down for a bit now I've put that thought in my head.....

Don't hold out on us oneforthegirls.,.,

Rhubarb01 · 05/01/2015 13:00

orphan you're very kind and thanks for the review.

Oneforthegirls you have my attention. Are you about to confess to something else?

icemistOBE · 05/01/2015 13:03

He was in First Light, which is set in 1943 and is a RAF film. But he's a little young as it was made in 2010

Am just at the blister scene

Pixie I forgot about it until yesterday but someone posted a photo way back on thread two or three of BA in WWII RAF uniform for a role he did a few years ago. It was called 'First Light' and was based on the true life memoirs of a Battle of Britain pilot. He had a small role in it. The photos aren't great but.....

icemistOBE · 05/01/2015 13:05

First Light picture- thought I had one

Liking the low slung boots but a tad too young here, even for me Blush

Oneforthegirls · 05/01/2015 13:22

I just had to get a coffee to steady my nerves. I am not a fully functioning confessor without my first shot of coffee....

I have been gripped by OG for 2 reasons. First one pretty obvious - CJ in all his bulging, headset, stern face glory.

2nd - I was in a forbidden love situation myself a long time ago and went thru the whole fondness confession thing. Quite a lot of what I wrote at the end of chapter 2, bits of 3 and part of the CJ speech in 4 were pretty true life experiences for me.

My CJ was 6'3", a mop of wavy brown hair but thankfully blue eyes. If CJ/BA had blue eyes, I would be done for.

My RL experience unfortunately didn't have a happy ending.

cjwoofwoof · 05/01/2015 13:23

Aah blister scene icemist even his toes are manly and muscular, not hairy and calloused. I'm thinking if she could get this close to manky feet why couldn't he overlook the cold sore in Bath bedroom?

cjwoofwoof · 05/01/2015 13:28

That's a shame no happy ending for you onefor - no wonder your writings so excellent, more autobiographical than fiction methinks. Bless you for sharing some of that lost heartache Flowers

icemistOBE · 05/01/2015 13:29

Christ, every time CJ is standing up, being all stern I can't help but find my eyes drawn to the lower half of his body... His hero worship of her just starting "fcuking awesome"

icemistOBE · 05/01/2015 13:30

Thanks for sharing. Did you find writing it in your ff a bit cathartic?

OP posts:
icemistOBE · 05/01/2015 13:33

So I thought I'd check in titles who script supervisor was and its Caroline Bowker...

OP posts:
cjwoofwoof · 05/01/2015 13:37

Actually onefor that's set me thinking...the biggest reason I love OG so much is because there's a happy ending (barring Smurf's demise of course) from a traumatic, life changing experience. How many dramas are on TV where you're willing something nice/romantic/happy to occur and the writers deem it necessary to stick in a death or sad outcome? All the soaps are always doom and gloom, we have never ending cop/murder dramas and nothing ever ends where you feel nice and cosy inside and say Yes, that's how I wanted things to end. Ok soapbox over, back to my hoovering.

Rhubarb01 · 05/01/2015 13:38

oneforthegirls so sorry to hear about your unhappy ending. All these things in life mould us into the people we are. You've put your experience into your writing and that can be a great cathartic process. I liked the way the characters expressed themselves and at the time I thought it felt more real to me. Thanks for sharing with us.

cjwoofwoof · 05/01/2015 13:40

You mean you've been looking at his top half all this time until today icemist? Silly girl, now you'll need to watch all 5 Episodes again just for the trouser action Grin
