SCD 2014 #5: It's the final!

PolkadotsAndMoonbeams · 15/12/2014 00:59

Following on from thread 4.

Last lap now everybody!

First time a couple have been against each other in the final I think. Fun dinnertimes this week in the Clifton-Hauer household I would imagine.

I'm vaguely hoping for a Caroline - Frankie/Simon - Mark result, although, other than Mark last I'm not too fussed really.

Oh was really rooting for Simon. Really disappointed with the winner. But kind of knew it would be flack as heard an inside rumour weeks ago that they geared it up for her to win to be able to say they got an xfactor to strictly convert. It's a bit of a fix.

Caroline knew how to dance before she arrived and is clearly seeing her sights on pasha. Simon deserved it more. Much more.

Mrsjayy · 20/12/2014 23:03

Tbf on --stupid- caroline she isn't a working dancer is she it doesn't matter and I would turn off if it was full of judy murrays and scott mills it would be rubbish. Denise van outen was on it and she does stage shows. I have just watched simon and kristinas Argentine tango again to console myself

SamCroClaus · 20/12/2014 23:03

I wanted either Caroline or Simon to win, just not Kevin

MegCleary · 20/12/2014 23:19

So glad Kevin didn't win

awaynboilyurheid · 20/12/2014 23:45

Yay!! Really pleased Caroline and Pasha won but also that the right three were in the final as any one of them were worthy of winning. Mark if I was chocolate I would eat myself Wright was not up to their standard .

2rebecca · 21/12/2014 00:12

Glad Caroline won, Simon was good but she was better and I like Pasha and she went on less about cliched journey crap. Mark was just annoying me at the end and I don't need to be told every week that he's never danced before. If they want a show full of people who've never danced before then they should refuse to judge unless the BBC sorts it out and evens things up a bit. Glad Aliona's back.
Really don't care who sleeps with who, none of them are my friends, they can have a weekly orgy after the show for all i care.

Dolly80 · 21/12/2014 02:48

Well I've been out tonight & just catching up. Glad it was Caroline but was hoping Simon might shock us ( I wish his show dance had been less lifty)

JillJ72 · 21/12/2014 08:06

Kevin needs to learn some decorum (ie to be happy / relieved without roaring) - he reminds me of Jordan Poulton from the Apprentice, when he was in the boardroom.

Inkanta · 21/12/2014 08:38

Funny how the tide turned against poor Kevin. He was great to start (coming from GRIMSBY), - but now just because he shouted out YEAH a few times (as you might when you call a spade a spade) he gets such toffee nosed reactions.

In the end I think I was pleased Caroline won, because training or no training she was the most beautiful dancer on the night.

Inkanta · 21/12/2014 08:47

The person who most needs to get a grip (and get some decorum) is Tess the way she shouts out and grabs and steals the dancers' moment after they have just danced. Very intrusive. I hope either someone has a word with her or she is replaced next year. Maybe Claudia would be better in that role - on the dance floor, after the dance and Tess goes upstairs.

ppeatfruit · 21/12/2014 08:50

I was wondering about the judges, they were actually all crying or nearly crying when they marked S&K's AT . ! reckon Simon was robbed!!!!!

There's something wooden about frankie despite her dance training. Caro was good but SIMON SHOULD'VE WON

Sparklingbrook · 21/12/2014 08:53

So Take That weren't even there? Shock

Mrsjayy · 21/12/2014 08:57

Yip Simon was robbed

DoesntLeftoverTurkeySoupDragOn · 21/12/2014 08:58

I imagine that Tess is told to hurry everyone along to stop it overrunning.

Mrsjayy · 21/12/2014 09:05

Yeah she had a live final to run she had to get them moving.

Sparklingbrook · 21/12/2014 09:14

Do you remember when Harry won and Bruce shouted at McFly

Mrsjayy · 21/12/2014 09:18

That was funny he was hitting them with his cards

FrankelandFilly · 21/12/2014 09:23

I don't begrudge people having some dance experience but a 3 year degree specialising in the subject is a bit more than learning routines for a pop song!

JillJ72 · 21/12/2014 09:23

Actually, having watched pt 2 this morning, in the interview snippets and when being spoken with on the show, Kevin came across really well. He stood out as one to roar whereas others would mime their relief, and I personally think the miming is a bit nicer. Although I understand the spontaneity of the roar.

Better go and blow my toffee nose.

BeHoHoHove · 21/12/2014 10:15

Ha Jill. Yy, it's not so much about a one off roar, more about a whole series of ott behaviour and choreography designed to suit his own frenetic style. He was criticised at least 3 times by the judges (in the nicest way of course) for his em, over exuberance.

SmellyFartado · 21/12/2014 10:51

Glad Caroline won although liked Simon too.

The romantic in me would love to see Caroline and Pacha together. Rachel Riley is such an odd individual, beautiful but cold and sarky on 8 out of 10 Cats Countdown thingy.

And Thom. Thom needs a happy ending.

SpanishFly · 21/12/2014 11:30

Finally catching up with the second half. Claudia's dress is appalling. And yes she looks pregnant. But I think it's just that the dress is so unflattering

Horsemad · 21/12/2014 11:44

I don't think Claudia is pg, her boobs didn't look overly big!!
The dress was nice but didn't flatter her. I do like her hair though, looks lovely.

Sparkling - what did you mean about TT not being there? (Am I being a bit dense and missing something??!)

BeHoHoHove · 21/12/2014 12:49

I could quite happily give Thom a happy ending Grin

Tanaqui · 21/12/2014 22:31

Loved Joanne and antiques guy grooving away a t the end and ignoring all the others!
