Last lap now everybody!

First time a couple have been against each other in the final I think. Fun dinnertimes this week in the Clifton-Hauer household I would imagine.

I'm vaguely hoping for a Caroline - Frankie/Simon - Mark result, although, other than Mark last I'm not too fussed really.

Hello all, sorry I've not been about for a while - the koys of motherhood!

Just wanted to say the stories about Caroline having done a 3yr dance degree are true. My dance teacher met the principal of the school (in Cambridge) earlier this week. Shame the BBC can't do their research properly.

Best dancer won IMO. No expert mind.

Warmed to Caroline in the end. No idea who she is or what she does though?

Well Frankie had loads of training too, she went to a stage school and Simon is in a Boy Band.

So the winner wasn't even an amateur. Gah.

Perhaps next year Darcy can compete then

Being in a boy/girl band is hardly on a level with 3 years intensive dance study.

I think it might have happened in most series tbh I know somebody who says Jill Halfpenny went to the same dance school as her in Newcastle, but I loved her on it so haven't asked any more.

But Blue didn't really dance. They just moved their shoulders

Unless they're going to populate the show with sportspeople only they'd probably going to find out difficult to have no trained people.

Frankie has the most dance background and I am so delighted she didn't win .

If you don't have at least people with some training you'll end up with a series of Judy Murray and Greg Wallaces.
I'd rather watch it as enrertainment I don't care about their history. Shite dancers aren't particularly entertaining.

The whole point is supposed to be that people start on a level playing field so having Judy or Mark (who at least were honest!) with no background in dance going against the likes of Caroline (apparently a 3 year dance degree) and various people work dance backgrounds is unfair. Plus please please stop with the older people brought in for 'fairness' but who are humiliated so early on.

I really enjoyed the whole show, including Take That
I voted for Simon but Caroline was a worthy winner.
It was great to see them all back together again.

Take That remind me of embarrassing uncles at weddings.

I say that as someone who had their greatest hits album and as a
child my sisters and I used to argue about which one we could marry.

That's the BBCs problem with not researching properly or not caring.
If someone told me I could spend three months doing something I loved doing I'd jump at the chance.

BBC I've got a biology degree I've never used and I'd love to spend three months watching leopards.

Apparently RR has refrained from watching Pascha & Caroline train as she found it 'difficult' to watch them together...

Very pleased for Pasha after being in the final 3 times. I absolutely love him, Caroline was good too.

I did like Simon too but I'm relieved Mark didn't win.

Im a bit gutted I wanted simon to win but hey ho stupid caroline I loved the whole final though was great even take that dad dancing Howard Donald is hot

Right Marian Keyes has been on Twitter she was at the final, said that Rachel came to the show and gave pasha a massive snog before the show started.
