Please let Rose make it back to her lovely husband and babies Sad

YonicScrewdriver · 20/11/2014 22:04

I assume Katie has a death wish!

That seemed over very quickly.

OttiliaVonBCup · 20/11/2014 22:12

Not too sure about this series.
The babysitter this g is getting silly.

Cocolepew · 20/11/2014 22:13

The writter is directing this one, its not as good so far. Too much lingering on women looking vulnerable.

YonicScrewdriver · 20/11/2014 22:15

Mmm, the dream sequence was a bit... silky.

And I really don't think the first Annie would know about her counsellor would be him coming in - and as for him saying no female was available when he got a circular letter...?!

FamiliesShareGerms · 20/11/2014 22:20

This episode irritated me

Girl seeing her mum go off in the night with a stranger without reacting

Katie being ridiculous

How he got in to be the counsellor

Why Sally is still covering up for him

And a peeping tom FFS!!

(Still watching it all though)

eddiemairswife · 20/11/2014 22:25

Who was the man who had been stabbed with the (Lakeland)scissors? Have I missed something?

Westendgal · 20/11/2014 22:26

I missed a bit...who is the corpse with stab wounds in his back at the morgue?

YonicScrewdriver · 20/11/2014 22:27

Annie's brother Joe.

Westendgal · 20/11/2014 22:27

Not just me confused, then!

Blanketontheground · 20/11/2014 22:27

I was just going to ask about the dead man. I have no idea who he is.

Blanketontheground · 20/11/2014 22:28

How / why did Annie's brother Joe die?

YonicScrewdriver · 20/11/2014 22:34

Paul stabbed him.

Annie and Joe came back together and Joe tried to protect her.

(It helps that I've only just watched series 1 - but it's still on iplayer!)

GColdtimer · 20/11/2014 22:34

He walked in as Spector was attacking Annie and was killed as he tried to fight Spector.

YonicScrewdriver · 20/11/2014 22:36

Hey two falls, how did you get on watching alone?! My DH is out too.

lendi · 20/11/2014 22:36

Think brother was downstairs (having dropped Annie home after night out) when Paul attacked Annie at end of series 1 and he interrupted attack so Paul killed him.

lendi · 20/11/2014 22:37

Sorry xpost, iPhone slow loading.

Blanketontheground · 20/11/2014 22:37

I think I need to watch series one again! It's the best thing on telly at the moment but I feel like I'm not doing it justice as I have missed so much!

GColdtimer · 20/11/2014 22:41

I sort of watched it half under my duvet yoric! How about you??

GColdtimer · 20/11/2014 22:41

Yonic

GColdtimer · 20/11/2014 22:45

I think the plot is a bit weak - what 6 year old would act that way after finding a strange man in the house then seeing the same man drag their mum off?

Also, would too boss man be so political as to risk the life of a woman by not accepting she has been kidnapped - sadly I expect that is true. Such an arse coverer.

And the counselling stuff is too far fetched.

But apart from that its great!

YonicScrewdriver · 20/11/2014 22:46

I don't get too freaked by crime stories. I'm more freaked by OTT haunted house stories and the like!

CoolCadbury · 20/11/2014 23:01

Ugh! The pace for the first 20 mins was way too slow. I nearly gave up.

Annie talked to him and seemed fine talking to him and then he said, "I'll see the day after tomorrow" and she looked like she was remembering something and looked worried. Why?

I can get the teenage taking risks but it's walking a very fine line in terms of peadophile territory and I'm not sure it's on the right side to be honest. Pervy peeping tom for example - why, just why? How did that add to the narrative apart from give some men kicks? And I know that she is 16 but she still looks very young and she looks even younger in her school uniform. Just the whole thing was off.

LauraPashley · 20/11/2014 23:42

I think the hotelier will provide evidence at some crucial point. I actually thought that rather than perving he was annoyed, might call the police to report suspected prostitution or something?
Rose's husband was def shown on the sofa, and he was wearing headphones, hence perhaps not hearing his wife being abducted? BUT what mum does not listen to her 6yr old go for a pee then wait till they are back in bed?!!

YonicScrewdriver · 20/11/2014 23:45

I don't think the writers have much idea about kids.

I'd go back to sleep in Rose's case, but I wouldn't have a six year old coming in to ask me for the loo either.
