Do we think they both died?
Too many loose ends for me; fit Merlin cop, Spector's wife, Jimmy's wife.
Could've done with an extra 5 minutes.

Whatttttt! Did Merlin die?

I quite liked it! Stella's face at the end was disturbing, she seemed too distressed.

(I mean she should have cared more about Merlin than Spector)

My take is that Spector died.

Not as many loose ends as The bloody Missing.

Good ending I thought - Stella clearly does have some desires for Spector.

How did journo ring Jimmy though when we'd previously seen Jimmy smash his phone.

fizzyfuzzy I think Sexy Merlin got shot didn't he? Maybe it was just a fleshwound.

Not mad about the ending. Although I'm not sure how they could have ended it satisfyingly

Do you think she was thinking about Olivia? Merlin gave her a bit of a "what about me" look.

How many days was Rose in that car?

Saw the ending coming a mile off. Such a disappointing end to a great series.
Though the ending of the missing was even worse...

Agree, Pasty- Missing was so ponderous and full of way too many red herrings. V ungripping. At least The Fall captured one's attention!

I enjoyed it overall. Although the sudden hotness of Merlin was the revelation of the entire series shallow

I thought Stella went to Spector at the end as he was more grievously injured than big eared copper. And that she wanted him alive so she could properly get him, make him suffer a living death in prison. Least that's what I hope she felt...

I loved it. I agree that Stella looked more upset about Spector. Like he was her lover!

I also thought Jamie acted really well in this episode. He actually had quite a bit of dialogue, for a change!

So glad Rose is alive.

Will there be a third series?? So many questions!! So many explanation marks!!

I wanted Jimmy's wife to shoot him.

I really enjoyed it, found it very tense and brilliantly acted. I was waiting for babysitter to do something awful to her blonde friend though. I think Merlin is ok, he's too fit to die I would love them to do another series, don't mind if Spector is in it or not.

Gillian Anderson is bloody brilliant...am going to watch her new show starting on Watch in Jan, called Crisis and looks a bit shite but I'll give it a go for her! Hope Hannibal hurries up and comes back soon too.

I thought the acting in this last episode outshone all the other episodes by a mile. Even if some of the plot was signposted a mile off, some individual scenes were v gripping.

Maybe I've been on here too long, but the bit that made me most mad was all those women around jimmy and only one thought to crack the bastard over the head. I'm sure that all the strong women I know would have jumped on him en masse and clobbered the life out of him.

Dies anyone think the paramedics lacked some urgency, stopping to look at her arm and wotnot ?!

I think she was distressed because it was the easy way out for Spector, she'd rather see him stand trail.
Why was Spectors pupils so big in the interview?

I assume Rose wrote 'I love you' herself as a message to her family..?

Jimmy took the journo's phone at the same time as his car, hence knowing how to call him

For heaven's sake ... Series 1 ended as though they just decided not to show any more episodes for a year or so, and this one ended so abruptly I felt sure that me pausing it for a couple of minutes meant that the TV for some reason cut the last few minutes off! (I checked on iPlayer and hadn't missed a thing.) Very, very unsatisfactory. Grumpy now.
