Or rather, Rose will be his bargaining chip. Chilling.

beaglesaresweet · 15/12/2014 00:50

ah ok, thanks, Sabrinhia. Leading to Rose, of course!

But Yoni, in reality, would he put teasing or power games with Stella over handing the evidence (rose video) to the police?? they couldn't keep him arrested without it, as I understand they had nothing else, and this is pretty much enough to jail him, I'd thought.

beaglesaresweet · 15/12/2014 00:51

*have thought

SabrinaMulhollandJjones · 15/12/2014 00:57

They could arrest him because they'd already found his fingerprints on the decorating scissors that killed Annie's brother. They just held off in the hope they could find Rose first.

Re Jim Burns interview with the police - while he does seem generally bizarrely useless, he's obviously Catholic, and his personal faith was outraged by the man. That makes sense to me. He was obviously on the investigation team too, so doubly personal. Anyway the interview wasn't useless, the priest gave a huge amount of background that Burns later passed on to Gibson, so he obviously swallowed his disgust in the name of the investigation.

rootypigsinblankets · 15/12/2014 07:40

Jim Burns interview with the priest

am actually losing it

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/12/2014 10:30

Finally watched. Have avoided thread till now

Didn't think priest was that sinister

They didn't arrest ps as hoped he would lead them to rose

Rose on his phone will be his bargaining chip

Babysitter - what was she burning in sink in hotel? Should have swallowed SIM card

Sally Ann has no idea at all that hubby is kidnapping And killing? She just thinks it's an affair/ped?

whatevermaycome · 15/12/2014 11:26

I was wondering if Jim Burns may 'help' PS to escape somehow as he knows what he overheard about re his links corruption in the hotel room.

Or psycho husband with a view to finding his abused wife and killing PS afterwards.

Or even Jim Burns setting PS to escape with psycho husband in the hope that he kills him and will be silenced as well as no longer a danger.

Even if PS escapes not sure he has to come back for a 3rd series as could be a completely different storyline with a few regular characters like Line of Duty did.

TheDietStartsTomorrow · 15/12/2014 23:58

Stella touching the female officers hair was very inappropriate. If she was a man that would be even more evident. I also thought the Rose video scene went on for too long. Although I like Rose's courage and determination, Stella's tears were irritating after a while.

I think the last episode will be focused on rescuing Rose and gathering sufficient evidence to convict him. He was quite successful in destroying everything that was incriminating except the video, which was deliberate.

We3KingyofOblomovAre · 16/12/2014 17:02

Thought it was a bit slow and ended abruptly.

rootypigsinblankets · 16/12/2014 22:46

Babysitter was burning hair in an envelope, the lock that PS took from Sarah Kay. It is driving me mad that they haven't shown what happened to the hotel room / searching Katie once she was arrested; the woman officer who arrested her was so cavalier. No look in the sink or around the room (surely the smell of burning hair was strong? Confused), no checking her person (she was holding the memory card, but surely she then had the chance to drop it?), walking out leaving the door open, despite the instruction about treating it as a crime scene. Am hoping that they just haven't got to it yet....

Agree about the Rose video, I can't decide if it was painful viewing because of the subject matter or the performance/s.

hollyisalovelyname · 17/12/2014 19:31

Finale on RTE 1 tonight.
Looking forward to it.
Hope it does end and there is no cliff hanger and all loose ends tidied up.
It could end like Amber - a big series on RTE 1. Anyone who watched that will know what I mean.

AppleYumYum · 17/12/2014 21:50

Wish it was on tonight here Holly, enjoy and hope it's everything we're all hoping for!

alltoomuchrightnow · 17/12/2014 21:53

am going to avoid this thread then for a few days as can't watch it till friday and don't want to know how it ends!

alltoomuchrightnow · 17/12/2014 21:54

but Holly, can you come back on here later and tell us if it was excellent or not?! without giving ANYTHING away?!!

alltoomuchrightnow · 17/12/2014 21:55

(and i'll avoid this thread tomorrow i promise) ;-)

hollyisalovelyname · 17/12/2014 23:30

Full of suspense.

BrennieGirl · 17/12/2014 23:33

The finale was very good. Tense bits in the middle and then for the last 10 minutes I was sitting with a cushion over my mouth! Such good acting.

alltoomuchrightnow · 17/12/2014 23:34

aha! i shall read this no more!! but thanks BrennieGirl !

alltoomuchrightnow · 17/12/2014 23:35

ok just ONE q though
did it end with a cliffhanger? or was it final/ all tied up rather than left open

YonicSleighdriver · 17/12/2014 23:38

Please don't tell us the answer to
That, I don't want to know!

alltoomuchrightnow · 17/12/2014 23:39

Sorry, Yonic! ;-)

BrennieGirl · 17/12/2014 23:45

Not telling. ;-)

SabrinaMulhollandJjones · 17/12/2014 23:55
