Scared. It is all so real. Dh won't be here next Thurs. Will not be watching. [scary emoticon ]

Maybe Rose know more than we have been lead to believe ,

whitebits · 13/11/2014 22:27

Seriously fancy Jamie Dornan.....and feel a little more than disturbed by that !

handcream · 13/11/2014 22:29

It's all the creeping around into bedrooms where people are asleep, just like we are all about to do... Why don't I watch this sort of thing in the middle of day when the sun is shining!

ThreeQuartersEmpty · 13/11/2014 22:32

After he sorts Rose, the blonde girl on the train must be next. He knows where she lives cos she showed him her driving licence card, the photo bit has the address on. And it's in his area. South belfast she said.

I also thought the daughter must have seen him last series hiding things in the loft because that's where she hid her letter from him.

On a lighter note, how many of us have drunk tea made with cold water and declared it lovely, I wonder?

Yes, why did he look for Rose?

GColdtimer · 13/11/2014 22:36

Thanks all, and yes BOF, I remembered the blouse thing too.

I will also be alone next Thursday - we will have to keep each other company!

Gileswithachainsaw · 13/11/2014 22:38

She looks good in the uniform

GColdtimer · 13/11/2014 22:38

Perhaps he worked out the efit must have been from her?

whitebits · 13/11/2014 22:39

Slightly off topic but I read a TV critic's review of the series (will try to find the link) and they were basically slating the series saying it was very mysoginistic and full of stereotypes Dark, brooding, attractive male lead (who just happens to be a serial killer) being hunted by an equally attractive, sexually promiscuous female lead. I just think it's a bloody good drama.

whitebits · 13/11/2014 22:40

too many adjectives in my last post....meant to say very sexually active OR promiscuous, not both Grin

rootypig · 13/11/2014 22:44

Waves @ Wanda Smile It made me homesick seeing the landscape of Scotland! so beautiful.

Arfur, Families, he knows she's working with the police. I wonder if they have released that info? the articles obviously said that the last victim woke up, so the e fit could have been from her...? I think they must have released they're looking for someone called Peter, something like that.

rootypig · 13/11/2014 22:46

Here's a piece from the writer responding to those criticisms, whitebits, haven't read it myself yet, just found it

About Rose, I assumed it can only be because she is the only person who he has not actually killed. That's why he had to google her to find out where she worked.
And he was a bit obsessed on the train that the e-fit did look like him, when the police didn't think an image based on years ago would be much use.

missymum · 13/11/2014 22:57

Has he gone after Rose because in the last series Gillian A told him she thought his name might be Peter and the only person who could have given that info was Rose herself

Gileswithachainsaw · 13/11/2014 23:02

Why if the baby sitter had figured some if this stuff out sis she nor tell the police

Gileswithachainsaw · 13/11/2014 23:02

Did

ArfurFoulkesayke · 13/11/2014 23:05

That makes sense missy

lazylittlelucy · 13/11/2014 23:12

I have been looking forward to this series of The Fall. I watched the last series and enjoyed it - except for the ending, which was a little disappointing.

Having watched tonight, though, I am a little perturbed that no-one seems to be suspicious of him despite his obvious creepiness...

The girl on the train, despite living so near to his previous victims and dyeing her hair to avoid attack, was not at all disturbed by his weird behaviour - even when he put the beard on the photo in the paper. And further engaged him in conversation Blush

And a child waking in the night to find a stranger in her house, doesn't scream or call her mother but invites him into her bedroom. Really??

Massive suspension of disbelief requiredWinkWink.
But of course I'll keep watching...

bluebirdonmyshoulder · 13/11/2014 23:46

Thought it was great but can anyone remind me of the sub-plot re the corruption about DS Olson and the Monroe family and the nasty UDF man who beat his wife.

Thanks awfully! My viewing enjoyment is being spoilt by the nagging feeling that I've forgotten crucial details. i.e. maybe Olson grew up in the same care homes as Paul which were run by the Monroe family! Grin

rootypig · 14/11/2014 04:17

lazylittle I stopped to think about that too - but in the end I decided it probably is credible. We often don't recognise what is under our noses, especially when it's shocking. And when it's a nice looking, youngish white guy.....

bluebird Olson and his partner were in on a racket run by the husband of the first known victim - happens to be related to that senior politician. Other than that, I don't remember a connection, other than Gibson herself.

VashtaNerada · 14/11/2014 04:45

Really enjoyed this episode. I was a bit concerned last series that it might be glamorising violence against women, but on balance Gibson's comments on misogyny and victimisation are excellent. I loved the theme of recognising the victims as real people this week.

HouseofEliot · 14/11/2014 06:36

Olson was involved in prostitution with his police partner. When they were found out his police partner friend shot himself at the police station while being interviewed.

I think this is what happened in the last series.

Grokette · 14/11/2014 10:13

Just watching the first episode now. Good Lord, he is a creepy fucker.

I've also just realised that I've been madly in love with Gillian Anderson for twenty years! She is so gorgeous

angstridden2 · 14/11/2014 11:15

Agree it is rather far fetched about the little girl just accepting strange man in house in middle of the night and even letting him take her to the loo. Why did she need taking to the loo anyway - she looked about 6?
Have to say Gillian Anderson is pretty charismatic!

VashtaNerada · 14/11/2014 11:26
