DH picked up on something Paul said to his kids about, them not to worry that they would all be together soon.
BUT - the way he is treating other kids seems to me that he wouldn't hurt his own?

The painting I think was a 'devil' sitting on a naked women which is how he sees himself.
Did anyone else think the scene with Bondage Barbie a bit creepy??

People who kill their kids do so because they think their children are better off dead, don't they? To save them? They do it out of kindness? So he may well kill his children/daughter as an act of love. I wouldn't let the face he appears loving to his daughter fool you!

No, I get the ceiling falling was not good but the two coppers Bloody Nose Man weren't there / responsible so it seemed too removed that he should be bollocking them. But I could be overthinking this!

Lynch is Stella's boss though, and the two coppers are on the case; I think he was letting off steam, not blaming them per se.

Single - they were watching on cameras. He wasn't bollocking them so much as exclaiming.

Fuseli's The Nightmare isn't a religious painting, although the imp can be seen as an image of the (or 'a') devil. It's more influenced by folklore and medical theories at the time about the causes of nightmares.

I think Spector likes it because it's quite lurid and suggests sex allied with pain, dominance and torture; a lot of his own drawings in his notebooks look similar. It's quite psychological too –Freud loved it. I think it suggests things/people getting inside the helpless woman's head, and we know that Spector likes to mess with people's minds.
