Do I recall that his daughter actually found the journal in its hiding place in the loft hatch above her bed? ( where she hid his pixie letter to her) did he know shed seen it and then destroy it? It was full of doodles, detailed notes of the settings and killings, photos and locks of hair, trophies I guess.( and evidence).

Cocolepew · 25/11/2014 10:09

BOF, I can lock the passenger door from the drivers side.

angelos02 · 25/11/2014 11:24

What do you think is on the memory stick that he has hidden in the plug socket? I thought it was a video of him killing Rose Stagg but I'm pretty sure she is still alive as you could hear noises coming from the boot of his car at the end of the last episode?

BOFster · 25/11/2014 11:28

Me too, Cocolepew. But that's just central locking, isn't it? You don't call it the child locks. They are different.

We3KingyofOblomovAre · 25/11/2014 12:21

Bingo, I couldn't wear silk BLOUSES either. Make me cringe. But by god, if ever a woman looked good in one, its GA!!

We3KingyofOblomovAre · 25/11/2014 12:27

The man is a supposed counsellor, who hardly works. But bugger me he's got tonnes of money. Wifey and him live in a nice house, he burned his car, no questions asked, pays for his hotel room at bates lodge, goes up to scotland at the drop of at hat, hides his video chips in plug sockets... hides her car in his garage type lock up - so yet another place he hires/owns. Plus the deserted shack where he is keeping her - it just goes on and on. He's practically a millionaire!! Any other mansions he owns? Hmm

angelos02 · 25/11/2014 12:49

They're both professionals so probs on around £60k between them. Looked like a pretty run-down area he lives in (loads of graffiti around), very old car that he was running, deserted shack he won't be paying for - think he just found it, 'hotel' looked like a £20 a night job. All seems pretty plausible to me.

whatevermaycome · 25/11/2014 14:13

We3king that's what I keep thinking !

whatevermaycome · 25/11/2014 14:14

And as for serial killers nowadays getting mixed up between central locking and child locking on a car - where are the standards? Wink

BOFster · 25/11/2014 14:29

It's discusting.

WipsGlitter · 25/11/2014 15:10

There house is in the university area - not really where young profs like them would live!

Hotel looked horrendous!

OnlyLovers · 25/11/2014 16:23

Yes, it's not really luxury living. Stella is the one with the swish hotel room (hat she often doesn't even go back to), the dry-clean-only clobber, the car and driver and the hair that looks like it's professionally done every day.

YonicScrewdriver · 25/11/2014 18:12

But doesn't regular central locking still allow the passenger to open the door from the inside? Or is ours just cheap?!

On the whole, "it's locked" would've been better...

YonicScrewdriver · 25/11/2014 18:13

Wips, doesn't he work through the university (when he bothers to turn up)?

whatevermaycome · 25/11/2014 18:34

Great thread - glad to see a lot of you (like me) spend the entire programme complaining about GA looking amazing on no sleep, her possible dry cleaning bill for silk shirts ..PS's house/ standard of living in relation to income etc - I missed most of it last week because we were debating all of these and then deciding to boycott hotels with spy holes Grin

TheDogsMissingBollock · 25/11/2014 19:08

If it'd been London, fair point about income-house.
GA is a multi multi millionaire so i like to confort muself by appreciating all the (v subtle, just so) physical/cosmetic whatever help" she's had over the years. Olus imagine she doesn't have to go home, put the washing on, run hoover round etc. she'll have staff! Which is not to say she's not stunning regardless.

Wandathewindfairy · 25/11/2014 21:10

Untold on was 't he suspended or something I. The last series becasue he went to the counsellee's house? So potentially he is still getting paid. Funny. I was thinking along those lines today when I was driving along.

rootypig · 26/11/2014 04:29

whatever all the cars I know with central locking have a lock on the passenger side door. So, you set off, the car automatically locks all four doors, but each door's individual unlock function still works.

We are really splitting hairs Grin

I think the home life seems pretty plausible, money wise. But I do think the written warning from work / bogging off to Scotland at 5 mins' notice indefinitely / being the grief counsellor who lands up in Annie Brawley's hotel room is ridic.

TheDietStartsTomorrow · 26/11/2014 06:18

What are we like! The shame of it. Not knowing the difference between child locking and.central locking! Oh, how disgraceful!

Central locking: controlled on the drivers side but each passenger just flicks the switch and opens and closes each individual door.

Child locking: usually controlled by a little trigger on the edge of the door for each door whilst its still open. Means doors can only be opened from the outside.

Most bangers cars we've had only have central locking at the back but apparently Cocolepew has a car that can lock the passenger side too. We've only ever owned cars that are at least 8 years old so entirely plausible in more recent cars.

BingoBonkers · 26/11/2014 08:06

Central locking or child locks that poor woman was never going to be getting out of the car. Wonder why he's not killed her yet? Perhaps the shack at the top of the hill doesn't provide a romantic enough room for the final phase of his weirdness where he lays them out?

TheDogsMissingBollock · 26/11/2014 12:20

I think it's a different MO with her as they know each other so it's probably harder for him to objectify/dehumanise her in quite the same way. Think maybe it's more about either punishing her for betraying him or going back to his prototype woman whom he worships/hates in equal measure. So think she's in for special treatment : ( And of course she's the bait to entice GA.

YonicScrewdriver · 26/11/2014 12:28

Bingo, I don't think he wants to kill a mother.

BOFster · 26/11/2014 13:45

(I was joking about "discusting" btw)

whatevermaycome · 26/11/2014 16:01

I have a feeling he isn't going to kill Rose but I'm probably wrong. Amazed there aren't more spoilers on the internet if it's shown almost a week earlier in Ireland

Cocolepew · 26/11/2014 18:06

Actually I've just realised its the passenger side window I can lock, not the door Blush
