We all gasped in horror seeing all those dead quails. We got three quail ladies a few month ago for eggs and we love them all. None of us could eat a quail again.
I can never distinguish the contestants in the Professional MC until the later rounds, they all look so similar.

where are the female chefs?

Yay! so glad this is back on again but am gutted at the absence of Michel Roux Jr, he has been my guilty pleasure for many years

This is one of the few programmes on tv that both DH & I watch together. Makes me laugh, my DH can't boil an egg (literally) and yet when the pros are dishing up their fancy dinners he's all "oooh that sauce looks like it's split" and "hhmm that pigeon looks a bit overdone" like he's some sort of expert

mausmaus there's definitely a bird (of the human variety) in the next episode it was in the trailer

I suppose the lack of female contestants is because its the "Professionals" - it just goes to show that that industry is really dominated by males, there actually aren't that many female (head)chefs I don't think its a very female-friendly job.

Watched this with my two little girls today. The baby laughed at Gregg so I guess she remembers him from Strictly.

Don't like Marcus, forgot how much I love Monica, so happy the show is back, sad I'll rarely get to watch it "live" as DH hates it. Ah well, goes with lunch.

This is painful to watch. I have just watched Australian Masterchef and those amateurs would knock all of these so called chefs out of the water.

I'm hoping tonight's show is better too.
Whilst I like Marcus, it's disappointing that he is involved in the first round as I loved the old first round with the brilliant Monica in control.

If it's a metal croquembouche mould then you put the profiteroles inside but a silicone mould and I guess plastic one you can place them on the outside. Not sure what the reason is though. Think Mary Berry explained it on the GBBO masterclasses
