Anyone else been watching this? It's on at 10pm on Thursdays, on BBC Four. No idea why they've hidden this in such a graveyard slot. It's gorgeous. Beautifully shot, beautifully acted.
It's billed as a sitcom, but it's not a-laugh-per-line stuff. Reminds me a bit of Gavin and Stacey, in that it's really warm and gentle and creates a completely believable little universe. I've just re-watched Episode 1 before it disappears off iplayer.
(erm...maybe I'm developing a bit of a crush on Andy, played by Mackenzie Crook, who also wrote and directed the whole thing. I mean, please! It's Gareth off the Office!!!)

DH is in denial that it's reached the end of its run...Have to say it was quite the best gentle comedy I've watched on BBC for years. Loved it. And have a bit of a crush on Mackenzie Crook too (is that wrong?).

I love this show. Andy's wife was on christmas university challenge special the other night. she is so beautiful and clever too.

More fascinating facts - Andy's wife Becky is played by Rachael Stirling, who's mum is Diana Rigg - who plays Andy's mother-in-law and pretend mother to her real-life daughter!
And Rachael Stirling is married to Guy Garvey from Elbow.

I missed the special one the first time around , so it was nice to catch up with it the other night.
' you said Toni with a Y' was my favourite line. This is the main reason i prefer English comedy dramas to american ones, tends to be a bit more subtle.
Toby Jones is a great actor, very underrated i think.
