I cant believe that Stan knew nothing about Shirley's pregnancy with Mick and didnt put two n two together at the time.. He isnt silly. Yes, i believe he did put mick and Tina into care when Sylvie left him. Hints he was an alcoholic, couldnt cope. Shirley hates him. The whole family should go on the Jeremy Kyle show!

I love all of the established carters (except Shirley - the childish voice she slips into is driving me mad!) and wish Stan wasn't dying. Think they could have done a bit more with his character. He is a fab actor. Sylvie is a bit pathetic. Can't decide if it's good acting on the actresses part yet! Regardless she annoys me.

Yes they were in care not sure how long for though.

Catching up. Just watched Christmas eve and Christmas day. Mick annoyed me. I thought he made it all about him when she told him. Linda is amazing though.

Some moving scenes tonight with Stan and Sylvie, and Linda and Elaine.

Also I think it was originally meant to be a half hour episode and end on Linda telling mick and they changed it. It was a classic duh duh duh moment and exactly half an hour in.

Sorry probably quite irritating commenting two episodes behind.

i think there must be a secret car park, I've walked around the Square and there were no cars parked on it. considering how many people live and work there plus businesses there, the pub and market...
