Oh fuck off alfie. I cant stand him anymore and i5m sick of gangsta gronnie. Trying to act normal after murdering someone. Scriptwriters just keep transforming characters beyond recognition.

Im already bored with the linda story. Its too depressing to watch episode after episode of linda feeling tortured.

GetTheRedOut · 25/10/2014 15:32

I liked that Nancy pointed out to Dexter how disrespectful and childish he was being when he opened that beer in Masoods house. I really like Nancy, but I do wish she wouldn't keep doing that baby voice she does when speaking to her parents.

Mrsjayy · 25/10/2014 16:31

Oh fuck off alfie should be the next thread title Grin

Mrsjayy · 25/10/2014 16:33

All the carters do baby voices does my head in

babbas · 25/10/2014 16:40

Gangsta gronnie!!!! V funny.

How old must she be now anyway? Can the writers really see no other plotline for gronnie other than babies. Surely social services would be involved by now. And why does she never mention or visit the graves of her two dead kidS

justsweet · 25/10/2014 16:41

Nancy would ok minus the voices. probably. The baby voice she does, those guttural "Ehhhhh" noises she always makes, along with the wide-mouth expression. Very irritating, like a caricature. But then her dad's similarly weird with the voice changes.

justsweet · 25/10/2014 16:43

Yes you'd think social services might be interested in checking on somebody who stole a baby and pretended it was her own for a few months, then went to prison.

Mrsjayy · 25/10/2014 17:03

I think Ronnie is mid 40s well the actress is anyway , social services would be on to Ronnie like a rash in RL

SilveryMoon · 25/10/2014 17:04

I know it's in bad taste, but when Kat bumped into Ronnie and said "Stacey said you was pregnant. congratulations" and Ronnie said "what are you going to do?" I was half hoping Kat would say "Keep a close eye on me kids" Wink
Dexter was a knob-end and I loved that Nancy pulled him up on his desperate puppy-dog act. She should so get with Tam, I love him.
Wasn't impressed with Rebecca's mockney accent and am relieved that for as long as Sonya's alive, I am not the worst mother in the world. What an utter cow.

cleanmachine · 25/10/2014 17:04

Gronnie creeps me out when shes all maternal. Yes the carters have become exaggerated caricatures of themselves. Mick is so mockney ott at times that it like watching a weird little britain comedy sketch.

Hes tryin to be like frank butcher but frank never overplayed it to this extent.

cleanmachine · 25/10/2014 17:06

Oh and aleks and his daugHter have lost their latvian accents.

SuchSweetSorrow · 25/10/2014 17:28

Oh, Frank Butcher! Now there's a man I miss! Grin

Ujjayi · 25/10/2014 18:34

I have found Linda's story line so hard to watch. She has played it brilliantly. However I was shocked that we weren't given any warning before the episode aired (or did I miss it?)

Sonya's manipulation of Rebecca is classic narcissist behaviour. Nasty but believable.

The Mick-Stacey thing is clearly going to happen.

I no longer care who killed Lucy.

temporaryusername · 25/10/2014 18:54

Tam never actually thanked Shabnam for the offer that I noticed. Hmm

SparkyLark · 25/10/2014 21:52

Still, Mr Latvian a bit of a hunk, I always brighten up when he appears on the screen. They should defo. give him more airtime, even if he is another bad boy. When I see the other actors lean in for a kiss I have to cringe and look away, eww...

BlueberryWafer · 26/10/2014 09:04

Ujjayi no there was no warning, just the usual helplines at the end but they never do warn you, hollyoaks did a rape storyline a few months back and there was no warning there either. Shame really as it's pretty distressing for some people to watch (myself included) but then I guess they would have to put a warning about domestic violence etc as well.

Anyway back to eastenders - noooo that Latvian guy is not dishy he's creepy! Grin

BeCool · 26/10/2014 12:39

Tam is a miserable depressive. Can you imagine having a partner what walked around all woe is me all the time. I hope Nancy swerves him - He'll drag her down.

Lucy who?

SparkyLark · 26/10/2014 12:53

I didn't like the way the rape was portrayed, just too graphic pre-watershed. From my POV, filming a woman's face whilst she is actually being raped from behind on a kitchen table is beyond creepy, and I complained to the BBC. They wrote back and told me that they did it sensitively and there were warnings and they were right to film it the way they did Hmm. Anyway, I'll leave it there, as the BBC are obviously always right and I don't want to feel angry on a Sunday morning.

cleanmachine · 26/10/2014 14:58

Agree with you sparky. It was gratuitous in parts and very distressing to watch.

Tam used to be a good character but now hes morbid and full of self pity. He only works when he has someone to bounce off. Sick of seeing him mope around the square.

lavenderfragrant · 26/10/2014 15:45

I like Tam a lot (but then I'm a bit on the miserable side too). They should use him more. He's a wry observer and makes some witty comments.
Just can't see him getting along with Nancy. A strange and unbelievable relationship possibility that.

Aleks is a bit of a hunk. But oh so sleazy in manner

The rape was too graphic I thought and for that time of day. I expect they received lots of complaints.

Pyjamaramadrama · 26/10/2014 16:55

Tamwar is a miserable sod I agree but he has been through a lot.

Failed his uni exams, parents divorcing, getting back together, divorcing, his mum married that guy who set fire to the house and Tam suffered burns, his wife left him, his dad stole his money and now his boss treats him like shit.

He always seems to be the fair, sensible one with chaos all around him.

Southeastdweller · 26/10/2014 18:09

Sparky We didn't see Linda being raped.

Mrsjayy · 26/10/2014 18:37

Oh and tams wife left him no wonder he is a miserable sod. Aleks is NOT a hunk please wash your eyes with bleach and look closer

SparkyLark · 26/10/2014 19:01

Southeast, I did hesitate to write my views, as I knew it would be controversial, and this is for the most part a 'fun' column. But in my view little was left to the imagination, so we will have to agree to disagree. She was clearly shunted from behind across the table and my son picked up on that immediately; and as far as I'm concerned her face was filmed close-up throughout what was clearly a rape, which to my mind is graphic in perhaps a different but nevertheless v. disturbing way. The BBC and the actors involved seemed pleased as punch with themselves for airing this "difficult" topic, but I thought it was insensitive and did more harm than good.

SuperFlyHigh · 26/10/2014 19:05

I'm jumping on this one.

Nick's back hooray!.

Didn't Ben Mitchell kill Lucy?!
