Tanya - just for the shock factor and perhaps linking Abi and Max to cleaning up the evidence or Abi committing the murder.

Shabnam - lots of cash, a secret we haven't discovered yet and a trained pharmacist

Probably more likely Nick cotton tho since Ian and Jane believe he's dead, that could be why they're so shocked

I looked on Digital Spy! It doesn't say explicitly but several future episodes feature bad feeling between Ian & someone else so I'm assuming that's who it is!

Yes, I thought it was very out of character too. I suppose sometime IRL people do things we don't expect of them... But it's about as believable as Denise's spontaneous shoplifting habit!

I'm not sure what I should be seeing on Digital Spy. But it looks like Ian thinks it's one person but then it's someine else.

I thought that was odd about Jane, too. Even before she came back this time round, she disliked Ben.

First day in years I've avoided Digital Spy as I want the dealer's identity to be a secret until tonight though I'm fairly sure it's Peter.

I thought that about Jane from Friday. Why is she suddenly defending Ben?

It doesn't fit with Peter's personality being a dealer does it?! Or have I missed something?

He got in trouble in Cornwall when he was staying with Cindy didn't he? And they both were very secretive about it. Did we ever find out what that was about?

fifi if I recall correctly it was one of peters friends who got into trouble whilst swimming in the sea and peter was unable to save him and he felt guilty over it.

I still don't believe it is Peter, I think he might have a) lost his phone and someone else is using it, Lucy knows but hasn't changed number on her phone as would be obvious is a dealer

Or b) Lucy asked him to get them and he kept saying no

C) Lucy left it as a clue knowing it would stand out and help solve whatever was going on that night if her phone was ever found

D) she just keeps her dealer under the name Peter to avoid suspicion

Hi everyone..new mumsnetter here and straight onto this forum!

I know it's a long shot but I was wondering if they may even be bringing in an eating disorder storyline with Sonia..EE have never done one as far as I'm aware and it would explain why she's so weak and sick looking at the moment- although that wouldn't explain the money issue.
With Peter I think it may actually be him. His face looked more guilty to me than shocked. Jane is definitely adding very strange with her insisting on getting rid of the phone and purse! EE has been a bit rubbish lately but this does have me gripped

Welcome Kit and I agree that Peter looked guilty. I can't think why Sonia lied about going to Hastings - I agree she looked ill and can see why she may have an eating disorder (feeling insecure about her looks) but where does the money and going away for the weekend come into it?

I'd assumed Sonia went abroad to have her stomach stapled or bypassed or something. Her ill look could be a post-op infection.

As far as Peter looking guilty/shocked... I'm not convinced the actor would play the 2 reactions any differently! He seems to either be laughing/happy or looks a bit gormless or like a rabbit in headlights. I don't know that we can deduce too much from his reaction!
