Buster.. As Nancysaid, a dogs name! I think he looks like Phil. Maybe Sharon will have an affair with him? I like the way Shirl comes in not at all worried about bumping into Phil, the man she shot in a jealous rage.. All forgotten now she has the new Phil ?

I recognised him on Tuesday but couldn't remember either his name is the name of the program - just that I'd fancied him in a crap sitcom years ago...

Surely they can't drag out the Shirley/Mick story and the rape/pregnancy story until Christmas? And I really hope Stan doesn't die over Christmas either.

I hate the cancer storyline. They've only just had one with Carol. I would never have recognised Phil lookalike, Buster, as being from Brushstrokes if it hadn't been mentioned here!

I think he's all her children's dad. They were childhood sweethearts until she got pregnant & he was sent to prison - was it Stan who said Buster was "always trouble"? - She meets Kevin & has Jimbo, Buster gets released & they have an affair spanning several years/2 children, he gets arrested again, she plays super-mum, he comes out, she runs off with him, he gets arrested yet again & has been inside ever since while Shirley sorted out her life & reconnected with her family.

I think Linda's going to admit the rape but not that it was Dean. Mick will gradually figure it out & Linda will see the moment the penny drops & beg him not to do anything. Mick'll have a 'quiet word' & tell Dean to stay away for Linda/Stan/Shirley's sake. Shirley will invite Dean for Christmas, having noticed tension, to try & smooth things over. Stan will notice the dirty looks & decide that the truth has to come out so tell Mick & Dean that whatever the problem is they have to get over it because they're brothers.

How old is Dean? I thought buster said the great night with Shirley was in 76. Surely he isn't 38? Wouldn't it make more sense that he twig that Shirley and buster are mick's parent (esp after her "they wouldn't let me hold you" speech) .

It was too long ago for me to remember but, when Shirley admitted to Dean that Kevin wasn't his dad, did she say anything about who was? I seem to remember when Deano was first on the scene that I had a huge bit of a crush on him & he was a similar age to me - that'd put him at approaching 30 so definitely not born in 1976. Mick, on the other hand, must be about that age.

I've just looked at the Wikipedia page for the Carters which has a family tree. Interestingly it lists Dean's father as "unknown" while Mick's father is "Andy". Tina was also married to an "Andy". I assume it's not the same one. I guess that doesn't rule Buster out as Mick's father necessarily - Buster could be a nickname.

I didn't read the words, just looked at the picture that obviously hasn't been updated yet!

I've done a bit of googling & it seems Shirley was adamant that she couldn't tell Deano who his dad was because she didn't know. Lots of people getting a little frothy about this inconsistency. I guess she's not actually confirmed it yet though so Dean could be wrong. My theory is that he is Dean's father & she only refused to tell him because she was petrified that he'd meet him & Buster would mention that Mick was also his son.
