Stan doesn't know Shirley is Mick's Mum and Stan thinks Mick is his son.

And is Aunt Babe Shirley's Mum? or did I dream it?

Stan does know Mick isn't his but he had to come up with a reason why he wasn't at Mick's birth.

Aunt Babe is Shirley's mum's sister.

Have to say I'm chuckling at humphy faces and strict instructions on spoilers then people reading said spoilers and commenting on them without a warning . I think those wanting to avoid spoilers probably need to avoid the thread.

Aunt Babe obviously has contact with Shirleys Mum. I wonder when that bit will come out. There really are too many mysteries at the moment, it is becoming very frustrating.

Too many secrets and unresolved stories at the moment.

I had a dream that lee was chasing me and now I'm convinced he killed Lucy.

I think Stan does know about Mick.

So Stan ended up telling everyone about his prostate cancer yesterday and now everything makes sense about how he wet his mattress a few months ago. That was a very subtle but big clue.

And that's got me thinking, there must be subtle but big clues thrown about re: Lucy's murder.
Whitney hasn't been on screen much at all for months now. Remember how she wrote that "rot in hell" note at Lucy's funeral. All very strange! I think it was her. But then it doesn't make sense how Ben and Jay had her belongings (which Denise will find next week in the alotments).

Yes, the man has to be Mick's dad. Who else could it be? And he's the spitting image of Phil for some reason .
Also, Sylvie (Shirley and Tinas mum) is supposed to be coming into it soon, I think all these stories will lead up to her arrival and the truth about Shirley/mick. Another week dedicated to the Carter's...yawn...

Babs is definitely hiding shirley and tina's mum. She was on the phone to her in an episode and bringing her favourite things home with her in another.
I get the impression that Stan knows that Mick is Shirley's after the whole "your mother tried to drown you in the bath" admission to Mick.
I'd say he also suspects that Babs is still in touch with his ex wife as he commented on the flowers that she was taking home.

I remember when Mystery Man's actor was announced - he was billed as being a new character with links to one family on the square who'd really stir things up. I knew straight away that he'd be Mick's dad purely because he looked like Phil! He was the man on the motorbike too... the one who said their description sounded like his ex...

Mick isn't the sharpest tool in the box, is he? He still hasn't twigged about Shirley being his mother and I'm amazed he hasn't suspected another man hasn't assaulted Linda, in some way.

The actor who plays Lee was crap last night, just after he punched Ben.

No not because he was gay was to d3fend johni then his temper kicked in dunno why he went for Nancy though . Ben is just a terrible character I don't think any actor could do a good job he is nasty he in whingey and just urgh. Why is he now saying he is not gay it doesn't make sense he stood up to his dad when he came out now he is denying it as a phase ? Oh I hate seeing the young characters kissing abby has been in it since she was a little girl its strange then being grown up

I don't mind about spoilers. We've always had them on here, and EE is usually very predictable. Agree, to give a warning in case somebody is really bothered.

How dim is Mick. The 'they wouldn't even let me hold you' would surely make him suspicious. But no, they wouldn't waste the big reveal until the Christmas episodes.

Finding the lack of continuity strange. The lurch from story to story in a haphazard manner.

Oooh I love New Ben.
The new actor does the sneery superior face much much better than Previous Ben Head. He had a tad too much of the David Walliams about him.

Ben is meant to be hated (not just because he's a Beale/Mitchell lovechild) he's got alot going on.

Lee losing his temper is maybe to remind us that he is capable of having killed Lucy.
