I believe it's back on Sunday. Hurray!

I really hope though that they focus more on Edith and less on Mary and her boring, all look the samey, suitors.

Well i guess Edith threw it all in when she got pregnant & decided to visit her child just about every day!

Either that or JF has forgotten that storyline!

Tom & Sybil married though, so there would be no need to bring up the baby as someone elses.

I'm not sure who knew what was going on between then & think it likely he would have been sacked had their intentions been known.

millimat · 09/10/2014 14:01

Whose intentions, diddl?

diddl · 09/10/2014 14:44

Tom & Sybil.

I agree it would have been more realistic that he would have been sent away once it was obvious that they were "interested in each other", for want of a better phrase.

tribpot · 09/10/2014 15:27

Weirdly, though, despite the fact they were exchanging smouldering glances for literally years down at the garage where he polished the cars, I don't think anyone ever suspected Tom and Sybil were a thing.

Anyone watching?

AimlesslyPurposeful · 12/10/2014 21:22

Yes, I'm watching. Love the scenes with the Dowager and Mrs Crawley.

LineRunner · 12/10/2014 21:25

They are the best two.

thenightsky · 12/10/2014 21:26

yep... me and DH watching. He's a bigger fan than I am.

thenightsky · 12/10/2014 21:27

Oooh... that little hat Lady Mary is wearing... I've got one just like that!

minibmw2010 · 12/10/2014 21:31

Bless Lord Merton ... Does he actually have a first name ??! Smile

TheBookofRuth · 12/10/2014 21:32

Aww, Isobel. Say yes! He seems like a sweetie.

AimlesslyPurposeful · 12/10/2014 21:33

Aww, he's lovely. Oh to be in my dotage and have a man declare his love for me.

Asheth · 12/10/2014 21:33

I'm watching! I love Downton!

PepperMallow · 12/10/2014 21:34

Quick question: isn't Lady Rose the daughter of the Dowager's daughter, I can't recall her name, played by Caroline Bond? Therefore making Rose the Dowager's grand-daughter? If so, why did she just call her Aunt Violet? Or have I got the family tree branches muddled up?

AimlesslyPurposeful · 12/10/2014 21:34

Especially a man with such a lovely house!

smokeandfluff · 12/10/2014 21:35

Lovely proposal

AimlesslyPurposeful · 12/10/2014 21:35

Pepper - She isn't the Dowager's granddaughter. Think she's the daughter of Robert's cousin.

TheBookofRuth · 12/10/2014 21:39

Has Thomas suddenly developed a heroin addiction?

minibmw2010 · 12/10/2014 21:39

Robert treats Cora so badly, she's clearly at the edge ...

minibmw2010 · 12/10/2014 21:40

Isobel is considering it and Violet does not want her to marry because it would leave her on her own ....

TheBookofRuth · 12/10/2014 21:41

And because it would put Isobel higher up the social strata than her!

PepperMallow · 12/10/2014 21:42

Aimlessly, ah yes, I seem to remeber her calling him Cousin. Thanks.

Aunt Rosamund that's it. Does she not have any children?

AimlesslyPurposeful · 12/10/2014 21:44

I don't think there's been any mention of Rosamund having children. Perhaps there's a future storyline there - She helped Edith because she has a love child of her own?

TheBookofRuth · 12/10/2014 21:44

Whatsherface isn't going to get attacked again is she?

AimlesslyPurposeful · 12/10/2014 21:46

No mention of children - Rosamund info.
