I will!! KenDoddsDadGrin I'd 've thought he's been in enough trouble lately with his predilictions!! Good euphemism Grin

Gimme Grin

Jux · 29/08/2014 15:57

What are Paul's predilections?

ppeatfruit · 29/08/2014 16:12

Do you remember the fuss over the young American presenter lady (who was on the American Bake Off show with him) who he took a shine to last year? I don't read the crappy papers but it was everywhere and nearly cost him his marriage.

ppeatfruit · 29/08/2014 16:17

Thanks for 'correcting' my spelling btw Jux Grin

Ilikepie · 29/08/2014 19:24

I feel bad now you know, as it seems Diana is really upset over how the public are seeing her at the moment (my sister told me her voice was cracking when she heard her on the radio earlier). I was a bit harsh earlier i guess. she's just an older lady who made a mistake and it was edited to look much worse than it really was. And i guess it was fair that iain had to go as he didn't give them anything to judge. Though i still feel for him, and i think he handled it well at the time/in what we saw in the programme. I don't like what i am hearing about him quibbling with sue's 40 seconds claim; he should have stayed stumm and kept the moral high ground, which he had for a while there.

Jux · 29/08/2014 19:46

Ppeat, I'm embarrassed to say that Paul's Ps Wink passed me by completely! Any extra interest I had in Mr H extended as far as his bread tv show, and was lost rapidly when dh and I decided that all - but all - the loaves of his we saw were verging on burnt.

Poor Paul. Failed on the Predilection front; failed on the marriage front; failed on the bread front. Not a vintage year then.

Davros · 29/08/2014 20:25

I live Paul and his buns. Leave him alone!

I am here. Watching live for once.

Itsfab · 29/08/2014 21:03

I am here too

Trills · 29/08/2014 21:04

Does Mary like to put a LOT of booze in cakes, is that a thing?

Trills · 29/08/2014 21:05

I assume that there is no liquid nitrogen in the Bake Off tent... SO showing off about your liquid nitrogen cakes is just crass. So there.

2kidsintow · 29/08/2014 21:10

I love the home-bake photos bit. :)

Baking espionage!

Itsfab · 29/08/2014 21:22

Diane does come out looking unfeeling and completely devoid of any understanding of what had happened with the ice cream.

Trills · 29/08/2014 21:24

It's a confederacy of ice-cream-ruiners!

AppleSnapple · 29/08/2014 21:38

Good lord- how attractive is Iain now that he's shaped his beard a bit? Wow! Sorry sorry back to the baking Blush Grin

Aw, isn't Howard lovely?

slithytove · 29/08/2014 22:17

Honestly, I think the bbc are wankers, and they are the ones sabotaging contestants for drama.

They should have each had a freezer. Simple. Any fuck ups then would have been their own.

BBC should give proper time and proper equipment.

I found Iain attractive enough with the big beard but he looks even better with a shorter one! Can actually see a slight resemblance with DH that I hadn't noticed before Blush

I'm starting to feel quite sorry for Diana and the way everything has been handled. We had no idea that Luis could have played a part in the melting by having the door open for so long!

coffeeinbed · 29/08/2014 23:07

I still think Diana did it out of some misplaced freezer territorial guarding principles.
But what was that twattery Louis was indulging in?
Someone ought to have slapped him for it.
