• who took the ice cream out of the freezer?

Well we didn't actually see the exact taking out but all evidence points to Diana #dirtydiana

• is it the same woman who is not coming bck due to illness?

Yes. Either she foresaw the backlash or the Beeb disqualified her OR she actually is ill.

• if not, who is the ill lady and did we like her?

Same lady. Nation is divided. Some say she was guilty and that her guilt was worsened by her lack of remorse. Some say she was framed by the BBC. See #bingate or #bincident for full on history.

Iain's icecream was like a milkshake anyway and so was probably destined for disaster, although he seemed quite a nice guy. He sent message to Diana saying it wasn't her fault.

And I've just realised that I might have possible GBBO addiction problem!

Tent has moved from last year and now in Berkshire.

The tent is in a big field somewhere!!!

Poor Norman, I thought he was being riskier this week as well and I applauded him for it.

I also warmed to Richard with his little pink cheeks.

Nancy I cannot like, too supercilious for me.

Martha I like and Kate is an excellent baker.

Luis I find to be smug and I don't warm to him either.

Chetna I like.

Hearts don't forget An Extra Slice by Jo Brand on Friday where they dissect the week's bake.

I feel so sorry for Norman. Every time he thinks he's definitely cracked it, and every time they find loads to criticise and we have to watch his smily face fall. Maybe it's better that the agony's over.

No history bit!

It was Mel doing this week's history bit - she did a bit on wedding cakes/ bride's cake etc.
It was brief.

They've definitely kept the history bits to a minimum this year. They did tend to drag on a bit before, but wonder if gone TOO short now?

I don't miss Diana. I won't miss Norman much either; nice man but dull. All his food looked forbidding and hulking.

Martha annoyed me, crying and then cheering up when they praised her again. I know she's young but she's not a child.

I like Nancy. She is not ONE BIT scared of Paul.

I like Luis too. I like how serious he is. I don't think he's desperate to win, just desperate to do his best.

I love Chetna and think her baking is wonderful.

Kate's OK. I'm warming to her a bit.

Does anyone else rather fancy Richard?

All the pie showstoppers looked enormous and intimidating. I love pies but won't be able to face one for a while after watching that.

Has anyone ever had a wedding pie cake? They're definitely scraping the barrel with their weird pastry recipes 'pear pie' ???? I was soooo pleased that Martha's was the best ! Bless her crying over her tart I could've told her that all those uncooked apricots would make it too wet and sour. Martha to win!!!!!

Mel was really on form last night. She had me laughing out loud at least three times, with her hairstyle comments, marriage proposal and tart innuendos...

Couldn't they have paid Norman one, tiny compliment? He looked so hopeful.

Poor Norman. He seems a very nice man. They could've been kinder to him. Also that pesto quote that Mel et al found so hilaire, he was taking the piss out of himself at that point, wasn't he?!

I like Chetna best of the remaining folk. She won't win though, will she?

Paul H is creepy .

Poor Norman. Love him, but he would have gone last week if Angry Bin Man hadn't, er, binned.

When school shoe shopping (seventh circle of hell, and all that) my DC were absolutely thrilled that Chetna was in the shop having her children measured up. They actually rummaged in my handbag for pen and paper for autographs and then thought better of it.

Her bakes always look delicious.

I get all maternal over Martha who is fabulous - if her mum's reading this, I just want to say that you should be exploding with pride.

I didn't like the way PH chopped away at Norman's haggis and venison pie. Made me feel gutted for Norman, his poor fallen face.
