I was trying to work that out. I guessed she was 38 and had Lee at 15 who is now 23(!) then Nancy who is 21 now and Johnny who is 19 so all in all at ages 15, 17 and 19.

I can't believe anyone would be surprised that Max has slept with yet someone else.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/10/2014 20:54

When she does tell mick will explode !!!!

Soz meant 2 kids by 16

I thought Lee was 24! That would have made her 13 when she had him. But all their ages don't make any sense to me. I still can't understand how Tina is older than Mick...
Eugh...Max trying to deduce the police woman again today. Sick sick man.

LemonBreeland · 14/10/2014 21:00

Blondes Nancy is the second child. Jonny is the youngest.

LemonBreeland · 14/10/2014 21:01

Oops, cross posted.

LemonBreeland · 14/10/2014 21:02

ByeBye, your ages , ages most sense.

Southeastdweller · 14/10/2014 21:43

Linda is 37 - I remember her talking about it a few months ago at her birthday party and I then thought she had Lee when she was 15 as I assumed he's 22.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/10/2014 22:12

Eastenders need a birthday book/site so we can check these things out Grin

I posted that when I got in not having watched tonight's episode when Mick says she's 37 in reply to his father suggesting she's on the menopause so I can see now why you were all talking about her age. Until the birthday episode in the summer I thought Linda was 38-40.

I think Shane Richie was wearing mascara again tonight.

SilveryMoon · 14/10/2014 23:35

Mental. Linda is 5 years older than me and my eldest child is 7. Hers 22?

differentnameforthis · 15/10/2014 02:54

I think the rape scene is going to be aired here tonight (Australia) as we have just seen Shirley, yet again, abandon Dean.

I found it hard to watch this episode, what with knowing what he does to Linda soon, but also having sympathy with him for how she left him again! My feelings were very conflicted. (my mother didn't leave me, but didn't love me either, so I always have sympathy in these cases, because I know the pain it causes)

For all the bravado he put on in front of her, about hating her etc...he really is just messed up because he doesn't think she loves/loved him

Not that that, in any way excuses what he does. I am trying to see it episode for episode, if that makes sense! And pretending that I don't know about the rape...I do have sympathy with him at this stage

Cocolepew · 15/10/2014 08:43

Alfie looked suspiciously tanned tonight.

ByeByeButterfly · 15/10/2014 20:24

I did the same thing different as I was away when it was broadcast. I felt sorry for him up until he made a comment about nobody liking him in a rude way to Linda and then I just felt he was being manipulative.

Pyjamaramadrama · 15/10/2014 20:37

I felt sorry for Dean too in the episode before he raped Linda.

I think it was very clever of EE to do it this way as it showed him as a person with all his demons and issues.

Now us as the viewers can see he is dangerous but other people won't and will have different feelings towards him.

I imagine when it comes out in EE there will be characters who won't believe he is capable of rape which is true to life.

Southeastdweller · 15/10/2014 20:53

I still feel some sympathy for him after what he likely went through in prison and for how Shirley's treated him.

cleanmachine · 15/10/2014 21:01

I cant stand ronnie. I really cant. She gets the worst storylines and has become some kind of weird untouchable gangsta.

I am so moved by linda, her acting is brilliant. For me though its hard to believe that she wouldn't tell mick. They've been together since childhood and is not believable that she would hide this. She's acting very strange yet mick can't see that yes there is something wrong! I really really hope ee don't drag the whole will she tell won't she tell story out.

I feel sorry for the guy playing Dean. Surely he won't be in ee long one this gets out and I think he's a really good actor.

Southeastdweller · 15/10/2014 21:34

I hate Ronnie, too.

I also struggle with accepting Linda wouldn't tell Mick given how close they are. I wonder if she'll tell her mum this week.

Idunno clean about LInda telling Mick. Remember she has that thing where Sharon told Nancy that Linda had kissed Dean and not the other way rund like how it actually happened, so if she told Mick, there's 1, be the chance of him killing Dean but 2, that Dean would manipulate the situation and get Nancy and Sharon questioning and leaving Mick with just a slither of uncertainty. Then there's the possibility of not wanting to be a victim? Not wanting to have her true and lifelong love look at her and see rape every single time. I don't think it's completely unbelievable that she wouldn't tell him.

differentnameforthis · 16/10/2014 03:44

Aunt Babe has also just alluded to Mick having a temper too, so that could possible be a factor in her not telling him.

It was hard to watch the scenes on the follow up to the rape, because at times I still very sorry for him, but that changed quite rapidly.

bleedingheart · 16/10/2014 16:45

I think Linda is scared to tell Mick I case he kills Deano. She said something to Sharon along the lines of 'you haven't seen him angry' and Babe made a similar comment too. He's very protective of his family, look how he punched Dean when he was rude to Shirley.
I also think she's remembering how Nancy reacted to the kiss and she is probably trying to protect them all from the truth, knowing how upsetting it would be.
Perhaps an element of 'if I don't talk about it, it hasn't happened' too. I'm finding it really believable.
I thought they might have had Babe work out the Deano connection (not the facts necessarily but that he was the cause of Linda's misery) after the reaction at lunch but I suppose everyone thought she was hungover.

bleedingheart · 16/10/2014 16:46

*in case

Pyjamaramadrama · 16/10/2014 17:02

There are a number of reasons why Linda might not want to tell Mick.

She might be scared that it would ruin their relationship as she's 'been with someone else', even though she was raped and it wasn't her fault, she might be scared that the rape will always be there between them.

She might be scared that she will be doubted or not believed, given that Nancy now thinks that she kissed Dean, and Dean is having some fantasy that they were having an affair, it's her word against his.

She might be scared of Mick flying off the handle and hurting Dean.

She might even be questioning herself, thinking was it really rape? I didn't fight him off, I didn't scream, I didn't stop it.

Probably a mixture of all of those things.

You can imagine her telling her family and then someone asking mote details abs then asking why she didn't fight him off, as they would have. People gave even commented on the thread asking the sane question.

GetTheRedOut · 16/10/2014 20:31

I was willing her to tell her mum then

FastWindow · 16/10/2014 20:38

The way her mum looked at her, I think she suspects an affair...
