Totally agree that they would have been rehoused. Even before the fire, they wouldn't have been left on the streets and their contents insurance wouldn't clear 6 months rent and pay for a new deposit. Total nonsense.

Alfie is a prat! I can't bear him now. He's cowardly, can't tell the truth where a lie will bring him temporary reprieve. He's impatient, always coming up with madcap schemes, and he NEVER finishes a sentence, just that weird trailing off mumbling he does.

I can't believe the council housing person would say we can only house you for one night then you're on your own, homeless. He would be advised what to do next surely?

YY re Alfie being an arse. I guess they are trying to show a man pushed to breaking point/desperation, but really the writing/story lines have been amazingly ridiculous, every song one of Alfie's decisions have been beyond stupid - it's all a fucking joke and is driving me bonkers.

The actor who plays Charlie is also a musician in real life.. I was shocked that he knew Rebecca and Sonia - Sonia also knew the new guy that was in on Tuesday ( name escapes me). Very odd her reaction to Rebecca's shyness, really not very nice. Not keen on this new Alfie, I know he is up against it but surely they would be entitled to some help / benefits with 3 little boys. His attitude to Masood was awful, it was him that decided to set his house on fire in the first place after all! I think its time that Kat and Alfie were written out of EE for good. had their day about 8 years ago..

Letitia Dean aka Sharon Mitchell looked awful in those hideous red stockings and a fluffy bag to hide her tummy. Why do they make out she is some sort of femme fatale?! Sylvie (Linda Marlowe) is a superb character and so well acted. She is really believable as a dementia sufferer. Can't wait for more of her and the Carters.
