I couldn't possibly say say "self saucing pudding" with a straight face.

Am I alone in never having known 'self saucing pudding' was an actual thing?

Ooh I do so love a self - saucing pudding. The pouring on sauce variety. Well, I like fondants too but they're a bit different IMHO. But a proper self - saucing pud is so easy and so so good. Bill Grainger seems to have lots of recipes for them, perhaps they're big in Oz?

That's a good point Suffolk, a bigger one might be more achievable for me to try rather than individual ones a la GBBO. What's easiest type to try first?

I'm not sure if saucy puddings are big in Oz but my partner is from New Zealand and traditional puddings like sticky toffee/spotted dick etc are alien to him! He does however love a good pavlova.
