Sad for Eugenie, but perhaps it's better to keep the motivational psychology to yourself, at least this side of the Atlantic.

As for the roof I suspect they want maximum time to sort the air conditioning with a totally dry court. It was humid and slippery with it shut earlier in the week.

Fiderer -i though it was something to do with being a former champ, but Martina wasn't wearing one, so not sure.

Federer mustn't be in the same house as his babies then if he manages 8 hours sleep!

After that 'blink and you'll miss it' final, I am really looking forward to the Men's! I will be honest and say womens' tennis really doesn't do it for me. I want to be on the edge of my seat with a long long long match. And sorry but I agree I think prize money should be geared to number of sets. Surely the women are physically fit enough to play best of 5?

Wasn't castle saying the twins slept 22hrs a day earlier in the week.

It's a shame, as the women's matches in the earlier parts of the tournament were great- better than the men's in some cases.

But Kvitova came out and meant business.

The whole tournament, mens and womens was exiting up until the semi finals days. It all went a bit wrong after that after promising so much. Hoping the men can liven things up tomorrow.

As much as I like Bouchard, I'm glad Kvitova won. Saw her play Kerber in an amazing match in Istanbul last year that went down to the final game. She seems to have improved even more since then.

I agree with Fiderer - I thought that Bouchard seemed a bit up herself. Furthermore, I think she was lucky to get through to the final. It could have gone either way in the semi with Halep; once Halep turned her ankle in the second set, and her movement became restricted, her game dropped off, allowing Bouchard to win.

I would have preferred Halep in the final too.

Have missed most of this. Is nearly as quick as the singles was.
