Rafa- i think it would be a great final. I really do see a bright future for them both. (But I've been wrong before).

But it will be a final without a Williams sister, or Shrieky again- which can only be a good thing

Who was it whose DH organised a BBQ on finals weekend last year? Was that you or Juan?

I think I can move it to another Friday and just take an additional day of annual leave. I don't think my friend will mind. She'll be quite happy to stay at home and finish some of her artwork I hope.

now- dilemma.

If Rafa had got to the final, i was going to treat myself to an alcoholic drink or two on Sunday. However, he isn't. Now, I don't actually miss the booze at all, and I don't want to drink just for the sake of it, but it would be nice I suppose.

And Pimms is really just fizzy pop, right?

I'm seriously gutted that the WTA finals have moved from Istanbul this year. Last year was good, but this year will be amazing I think.

Rafa - my Dh invited his BIl over on the day of the RG final last year. I was LIVID. I mean, Rafa and Ferrer in the same final- and you want me to cook a BBQ?

I was a very ungracious host (Bil totally understood). I was much better behaved when he came over for Christmas

Since neither of us have children and the place we were going is a tourist attraction very popular with families, I think we will avoid holidays. I'm thinking Sept and hope the weather holds out.

That's what I love about HE with my 2.

Not only do I get to watch tennis and not have to worry about pick up times etc...we get to go to loads of places during term time and enjoy them with less people about.

My mum's step mother, though used to make them for us every Boxing day- from a bottle she had had for YEARS.

Bouchard and Halep should be good. I'm trying to weigh up a trip to Morissons for some free veg. Not sure I'll fit it in today. Hopefully migh be able to fit it in tomorrow morning.

I can't manage to watch 10 minutes of cricket ! Just don't see the appeal.

This match has been a bit meh. Its almost as if you are waiting for the main event.
