So who killed Lucy?

Will Ben have a new head?

When will Grant know he has a son via Michelle?

And many other tantilising thoughts that are going through my mind while I'm laying on a sunny beach using maccy D's free wifi :)

Anyone else think Letitia Dean is quite funnily proportioned? Fairly skinny legs and roundish top

QueenFuri · 22/05/2014 20:33

I knew Shirley was Mick's mum. I don't think Stan is the dad though.. I wonder how long it will take for it to be revealed.

Well done to those who guessed right about Shirley being Mick's mum!

I can't stand Sharon either anymore. I want Phil to get back with Shirley.

Just caught up over a few days. Ian's blubbering is also annoying me. Can't feel sorry for him. He has a sinister look about him.

Why didn't Libby meet Tamwar whilst in the square? They were best friends weren't they? I'm sure they went out with each other too.

Stan can't be the dad because in an earlier episode, I remember Nancy asking Shirley why she hated him so much and if it was because he was an abuser and Shirley replied "he's a lot of things but not that" or something along those lines.

I really like how everyone is calling Max a dirty old man and perv. It's like finally, they've seen the light!

Why is Kat so desperate to get Stacey out of jail? She's put herself in a risky situation to get her cousin out when her own daughter is/was in jail and she hasn't been that bothered about her Confused. And she'll have 4 children after the twins are born but Zoe is never mentioned, not even in a passing comment kind of way.

Impressed with the detective skills by all of those who said Shirley was micks mum

Maybe dad is her uncle - hubby of the sister who came to stay a while back / no mention of him

Ooh. So Mick's Shirley's son?!

Why would sharon murder lucy though ? I hope she didnt as it would mean more airtime for her and she gets on my nerves.

still think its that Alex. He has a thing for blondes and anythink with a pulse would tie in with sharon getting attacked aswell. Also hes lied for jake hasnt he coverd for his drinking, pretending to be his friend. When realy hes framed him .....

Oh my god I need a life Blush

Mick can't be 42. He is at least 3 years younger than Tina who was 40 last month. Despite having 3 adult kids.

misstiredbuthappy · 22/05/2014 22:49

They all must have kids VERY young in that family lol

I find it a bit weird that Shirley is Micks mum. EE have done this story before with Kat and Zoe so I'm surprised they're doing it again.

I think Zoe lives abroad not in prison? I thought she had done a runner after the Dirty Den murder, to Ibiza or somewhere as you do. I remember Kat and Tommy skypeing her a little while ago.

I miss Kats funny one liners, not much of those these days.

I guess it could be a misunderstanding and Shirley was just forced to act as his mother when their actual mother left. The ages don't really add up otherwise.

Report
TwllBach · 23/05/2014 07:00

I think it's really sad that the child Shirley actually was a mother to (dean) and that knows her as his mother and that she did actually behave badly towards was the last person on her mind when she was drunk and mick was the first. No wonder dean hates her! And it sounds as though she has little to apologise to mick for and that he genuinely tried her best in the situation she was in to 'bring him up.'

Apart from the drowning an the lying of course.

Why do the underage baby brought up as sibling storyline again though?! So dull. Does anyone in that square have a child without some trauma or deceit?
The Kat and Zoey relationship annoys me, after Kat's desperation to have her know she was her mum and to be her mum and now she's rarely mentioned.
I think Lauren and Abi have every right to be disgusted with their dad but Alfie and Phil moralising? No!

Report
bleedingheart · 23/05/2014 09:48

Deano and Shirley did actually resolve a lot of the abandonment issues last time he was in it and Carly was the one who didn't want to forgive. This is a bit of a rehashing of an old storyline.
I know in real life you would keep revisiting it but it's a bit boring in a soap.

Report
RoseHoney · 23/05/2014 10:41

Well according to Wikipedia Mick is listed as Shirley's son and Johnny, Nancy and Lee are her grandchildren so I think it isn't a misunderstanding.
Wonder who the dad is??

I feel abit sorry for Max, not entirely sure why as he really is abit of a creep.
Where's Tanya?! You'd think with her daughter being a recovering alcoholic and now her best friend dying she would be there for her? Especially now the Max fiasco has come out but nope, not even so much as a phone call!

Report
OwlCapone · 23/05/2014 11:01

Anyone can make changes to Wiki though can't they? I imagine that was done on the back of the last episode.

Report
Coumarin · 23/05/2014 11:17

I think Shirley is 50-51 and Mick is 36 so that would make her 14-15 when she had him.

Mick and Linda must have got started early on their brood.

I don't know but I think it is a bit implausible but soaps are like a fantasy land.

I hate Linda's attitude towards her son trying to study as well. Thinking it is better for him to be working in Sharron's bar

Report
MissWimpyDimple · 23/05/2014 11:34

Johnny is at uni studying law apparently so he must be at least 18/19... I suppose it's not impossible that mick and Linda had Lee when they were 17ish but they did well to get 3 kids within less than 3 years!

They have said in the past that they married v young though...
