So who killed Lucy?

Will Ben have a new head?

When will Grant know he has a son via Michelle?

And many other tantilising thoughts that are going through my mind while I'm laying on a sunny beach using maccy D's free wifi :)

Yes harrin I agree about the carters they are dragging out the "mysterious secrets" plotline to much.

FantaSea · 20/05/2014 21:40

Yes, me too, I think the Carters get far too much screen time.

LemonBreeland · 20/05/2014 21:41

It was a good episode tonight. I am also sock of Ians puffy face. I also have no sympathy for the character atall. I cry at everything, but don't get it with Ian. I do with Peters grief though.

I like Whitney as an option, and writing the rot in hell.

QueenFuri · 20/05/2014 22:00

I didn't like that episode Ian's getting on my nerves then when she was getting buried none of her family except Peter was there!? I think it maybe Sharon or Ben who killed her.

Shirley is Micks mum U read Mick is 37 and Shirley 51 so she would have been about 14. I still don't get how he can be 37 and have 3 kids in their early 20s!!

misstiredbuthappy · 20/05/2014 22:06

If he was a young dad aswell

Nancy66 · 20/05/2014 22:23

So the grieving dad missed the burial and most of the funeral? !

HeyJules · 20/05/2014 22:25

I know I'm going to sound terribly cold hearted, but I'm struggling to feel much sympathy at all over lucy. She was just such an unliveable person. Of course losing a child .. I mean I can't even go there. And I'm very close to my brother. So when Ian and Peter get emotional I do get a bit teary too. But when others talk about what a wonderful girl she was I just think "urh no she wasn't!" I kind of feel for Whitney. I'm sure we've all been there... Someone we really never got on with and who was frankly a bit of a douchebag passes away and you have to act upset. I just don't care enough about lucy!

Ben Hardy (peter) is really doing a great job with the emotional scenes. I wonder how the actors get that emotional. I guess they imagine it's their own family.

Also, why was Trace sitting right at the front??

HeyJules · 20/05/2014 22:25

Oops unlikeable not unliveable

There was an interview with the cast (link on previous Fred) and they said that they made Peter run around set for his emotional scenes.
Abi took the photo and emailed it to max, she admitted that tonight.
As for the camp bed in Chapel of rest I thought that very strange, have never been to one myself so not sure if you'd be overwhelmed by the need to take a nap?
Sharon would be an interesting choice for killer but why? What motive? I hope not though or she'll get loadsof screen time and I can't stand her

HeyJules · 21/05/2014 02:57

I thought the camp bed was odd at first too but I suppose you never know how some people react in certain situations. I mean if a parent lost their young child, I can quite see some people wanting to just lay down for a little bit to be with them. Morbid but I can see it happening!

I think the way they've designed the murder is for it to unravel over the months. I wouldn't be surprised if even the cast aren't fully in the know. I think a motive will come to light and we will slowly start finding out about a whole secret life of Lucy's. that's what I'm hoping for anyway!

HeyJules · 21/05/2014 03:01

Oh and we haven't yet brought up cindy's line about being an alibi for Ian! What's what all about? Didn't someone say at the time it's probably just that he was with Jane rather than being at the restaurant?

OwlCapone · 21/05/2014 07:07

I think she knows Ian wasn't where he said he was all night. She isn't actually being his alibi, just not saying that is false.

mismylinford · 21/05/2014 11:11

could Ian have done it??? he couldn't cope with knowing what happen to Heather.
i don't think it was Whitney... she just didn't like her... (in real life) i really didn't like someone you and ok they didn't die but they got seriously hurt and i just didn't care. wouldnt say rot in hell on a flowers card though.
i think Shirley is micks mum..isn't mick supposed to be going out of it for a while?
i think.Peter is being played very well and i hope him and lauran get together... him and Lola don't suit... Lola and jay do which im guessing will happen abby goes to uni.

Coumarin · 21/05/2014 12:17

Isn't the camp bed so people can stay with their loved ones overnight, if they can't have the body later out at home? So they, (the deceased), aren't on their own?

That said, I've no idea if they actually have that set up in real life but it makes sense to me that they would have the option in place.

I didn't like last nights ep much. Peters speech was really well done but there's no way Ian would've missed the entire thing. Plus Denise isn't that much of a butch that she'd deliberately miss the funeral and then dump him in the same day he buries his daughter.

Also, I'm not getting the shock horror over Max and Lucy. Yes it's a bit Hmm because of the age difference but they're both consenting adults. I understand Ian and Peter wanting to relieve him of his Crown Jewels but everyone else is overreacting. Especially Abi.

Coumarin · 21/05/2014 12:17

Woah. Essay!

HeyJules · 21/05/2014 12:25

I know I've said it before... But why must Lauren always sound like she's just run a few laps. What's with her always being so huffy puffy!

Abi is just being Abi. I agree though I'm not sure why people are reacting quite so aggressively. Not like Lucy was little miss innocent being taken advantage of. I wonder what will happen to max. I think he will slowly turn into a suspect as the whole blood on his shirt thing (in the ad) I think is coming up since Lauren mentioned washing his shorts a few eps back

Blondeshavemorefun · 21/05/2014 16:28

from what i was told and rem from when dh was in the mortuary :( was that he couldnt be left out for a long time as kinda goes a bit mouldy (tmi) even if embalmed, needs to be kept in a cool place so wouldnt be left overnight - so camp bed was a very weird set up

witney didnt seem bothered at all about lucy, at her wake she and gay carter decided to go to a club Shock

def think carters get too much time esp as a new family, apart from shirley - not sure what the big deal was about the bath situation - could shirley be his mum ...........

church is near the square as often people walk to the crem/plots there, so not sure why denises taxi was so late and managed to miss whole of service

talking of cars, the funeral parlour would organise how many cars and ask you who you want in them beforehand to make sure enough spaces etc, so wouldnt be all the fluff about not being enough room

hmmmmmmm what else can i pick holes in over last nights episode

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 21/05/2014 16:30

oh yes, lucy and max, not sure why everyone so up in arms about it

both single and over age

yes weird for older man to shag young girl, but obv with max's history ie him and sons wife, he obv doesnt have any morals

and must be shit hot in bed and have a huge knob nestling amongst his ginger balls

OP posts:
GarlicMayonnaise · 21/05/2014 16:46

I'm kind of struggling to get through last night's episode! STOP EMOTING, Adam, you've done enough!!

It will be rather marvellous if Shirley turns out to be Mick's mother ... and Stan his father [evil cackle] That would answer a few open questions. I want Max to get run over or something, he pisses me off. And poor Lola, has she got the message yet that she's dumped?

I think the general idea is that, as more of Lucy's fucked-up-ness emerges, the characters are forced to face the general unpleasantness of their lives - or, as Jay said, "Only in Walford!" Sadly this will mean a lot more of Ian crying. Dammit.

Mandy2003 · 21/05/2014 20:56

Sharon could be off the list of suspects: next month she's beaten ROUND THE HEAD as she locks up the club and ends up fighting for life in ICU. (From TV pages of The Sun today).

FantaSea · 21/05/2014 21:24

Mandy really? Oh no, I like Sharon. I expect she will pull through, maybe with some memory loss. I think the killer is Sharon still.

DieselSpillages · 22/05/2014 12:47

Maybe Sharon is the one who supplied the coke to Lucy...She has a history of taking pills. Her club is the perfect front for coke dealing, and this could explain her getting beaten up ( by Nick Cotton ).

It will all come out on her wedding day in true EE style. Phill will then leave her at the altar in karmic retribution for what she did to her last husband to be !

FantaSea · 22/05/2014 15:47

diesel yes, it is possible that Sharon supplied the coke to Lucy. Sharon may have thought she had the perfect alibi as she and Ian are such good mates.

SilveryMoon · 22/05/2014 20:00

Looks like the Shirley being Mick's mum theory was right!
