No, I don't think so. Ian initially uses her for sex, before they got together. While together he pays for sex with Janine. Laura wanted a baby, Ian didn't, had a vasectomy, but Laura did get pregnant. She thinks it is Ian's too, initially, but then discovers it must be Gary's (post birth).

She had slept with Gary, and everyone thought the baby was his, he even raised it for a while. Then somehow it turns out that it WAS Ian's & his vasectomy failed.
