Hope no one minds - was just about to post on the thread but it was full.

What DVD? I missed that. Has no one watched it yet then or was it a red herring?

I think Maddie could be quite good if they allow her to not turn into a dour oppressed Sophie girlfriend, she seems to have some natural comic timing.

qazxc · 15/06/2014 20:51

They need to give her a personaility transplant quick. She is so selfish, whinny, sulky, ......
I have an urge to slap her when she comes on, esp when she is complaining on being hard done by when all she does is treat people like shit.

ajandjjmum · 15/06/2014 21:49

They've done it with so many other characters qazxc - why not Maddie?!!

hildasmuriel · 16/06/2014 10:51

Steve hitting 40 has potential for great comedy storylines. Please writers don't centre it all around his relationship with Moany Michelle but can we have sime classic Lloyd, Steve and Eileen please?

DesperateHousewife21 · 16/06/2014 10:59

Watching Fridays ep now...sorry if its been said already but does anyone else think Tina's mum is a pretty awful actress? I have NO sympathy for her...she talks so monotone with no feeling.

GarlicJuneBlooms · 16/06/2014 12:41

YY, Desperate. She's so awful, I'm wondering whether she's an impostor mum with nefarious/loony motives. Can't make my mind up whether it's that or an actress who's unsuccessfully drawing on her experience of depression Confused

GarlicJuneBlooms · 16/06/2014 12:46

I disagree about Maddie, though! For me, they're doing a reasonable job of showing a traumatised young woman, who can't relax or trust, gradually developing a sense of security and growing into herself (accelerated, but this is a soap.) Totally agree that she's a fabulous actress, with great humour. I'm glad they're keeping her in.

DesperateHousewife21 · 16/06/2014 14:10

Glad someone agrees and not just me being mean!

MissBattleaxe · 16/06/2014 14:11

Tina's Mum seemed totally miscast and out of place. When you think how fiesty Tina was and then you have this quiet mousy woman behaving almost apologetically. They missed a great opportunity there.

theliverpoolone · 16/06/2014 14:59

Did Tina's mum not make an appearance when Tina's dad died - I can't remember? You'd think they'd have some scenes with her and Gail seeing as they were both married to the same man......

Ellenora5 · 16/06/2014 15:39

I was wondering about Tinas mum aswell, maybe she is meant to be portraying shock and that's why she is so wooden

I have a feeling Maddie is going to stay for a long time, but I hope she doesn't stay with Sophie, remember how awful Becky was in the beginning and she ended up being hugely popular

lovelychops · 16/06/2014 23:33

Tina's mum is spectacularly miscast, she looks all wrong. I think she has a look of that awful Molly who was married to Tyrone !

JodieGarberJacob · 17/06/2014 06:51

Yes! I thought she reminded me of someone!

It would have been much more dramatic had Neil walked in just as Lloyd's message was being played. Would have loved to see Andrea's face!

Don't like what they're doing with Carla. And am surprised Michelle didn't start screaming at Steve for serving Carla and why didn't she see Carla home or take her upstairs in the Rovers to sleep it off?

I didn't realise it wasn't common knowledge that Tina was hit. Rob please trip yourself up, the way you control Carla is horrible.

Naicecuppatea · 17/06/2014 09:57

Carla was great last night! Brilliantly acted by whoever plays her.

Lighthousekeeping · 17/06/2014 13:23

She's a fantastic actor. I hope they don't write her out of it for a long tine. Do you reckon it's the CCTV that will show the real murder? David's wife is pregnant in real life so I wonder how that will pan out?

theliverpoolone · 17/06/2014 14:59

I would have thought they might ask Issy to say a few words at Tina's funeral........does her mum even know about the baby I wonder?

eddiemairswife · 17/06/2014 17:16

According to what I read at the weekend the real murderer won't be caught yet, also there are pictures of Deirdre and Ken 'enjoying' a caravan holiday.

Lighthousekeeping · 17/06/2014 18:55

Grin I'm loving Deidre even more these days

DesperateHousewife21 · 18/06/2014 15:29

WHat David's real life wife is preg or Kylie is preg in RL?

I loved Carla's shouting/ kissing scene with Peter...I kind of wanted them to end up in bed Grin

Lighthousekeeping · 18/06/2014 16:14

Kylie is pregnant in rl

hildasmuriel · 18/06/2014 20:19

Catching up and loved Tim's unproposal although the Rovers needs some serious updating. The Birdie Song?

impomea · 18/06/2014 21:06

Is Kylie pregnant in rl too? I thought it was Fizz

Agree we need to see more Deardrie.

NuggetofPurestGreen · 18/06/2014 21:35

Yep Kylie is pregnant irl

What is Rob on about? 'I've never betrayed her'. When you tried to rip her off to the tune of €20k???

ajandjjmum · 18/06/2014 22:59

Did I miss anything in the first half of tonight - is it worth going back and watching? Grin

millimat · 19/06/2014 00:15

Kylie and Fiz are both pregnant irl.
