I've filled in with all sorts if NC but have been pining for our good old UK version. I'm so excited it's starting next Wednesday BBC1 9pm

Apparently, according to a guardian article I read, real paella should not have chorizo in it. Doing so offends the Valencians.

A bit of fish would improve those figs no end

Loving the banter between Greg and Jon, but one thin really puzzles me - why do they make the contestant chefs, carrying plates upon which their futures rest, struggle with those bloody heavy doors! Greg and Jon have nothing to do - why can't they open the doors for them, for goodness sake!!!

Surprising decision made on actual quality of food. They must have decided that Kate just looked rubbish in chef's whites.

Probably the right decision. Although there's some very strange food so far.
