They are also working on a spin off show based in TWD universe but not on the comics.

I think they just appointed a producer. So it'll be The Walking Dead: New York or something.

I did love the bit where rick told daryl he was his brother. Norman reedus is excellent at making daryl look so vulnerable at times. When he walked in clutching his little bin bag containing all his wordly possessions and then offered himself up in exchange for rick I felt so

The thing is Norman Reedus is Daryl. Norman originally auditioned for the part of Merl, but they liked Reedus so much they created a whole new character for him and basically let him have free reign.

He's amazing.

I couldn't bear for them to have eaten Judith! She looks so much like my little chunky DD2...

Ooh I thought there wasn't going to be an answer as a last line; that Rick would just look into the camera and that would be it. Painful enough cliff-hanger as it is though. It's going to be a long wait.

Interesting discussion earlier about Michonne/Carol and reactions to female characters that don't play to stereotype. I think most women in such post-apocalyptic scenarios would be similar; those unable or unwilling to step up for themselves are unlikely to survive in big numbers. Let's face it, Beth has been lucky. I hate the idea that M & C are not feminine enough to get the hot guy. To me feminine is strong and smart and tough and able to do what needs to be done. As well as the nurturing side.

I thought it was a great finale . I love it when it raises more questions than it answers so I'm hooked for the next season.
My guess is Glenn will be sent on a recovery mission for weapons and they'll come out the boxcar fighting.

I don't think there are as many of them (terminus folk) as they made it look.

Definitely think it's the cannibals from the comics - I'm going to have to read them now to see if they give any hints for season 5

Talla I like your idea of two different welcomes depending on the group. Maybe Carol will get in that way, and save them all (yes, while Tyreese stands there like a frightened puppy cuddling Giant Baby).

Awww yes Darryl with his vulnerable little boy face. He's lovely, and it was lovely to hear Rick call him his brother. Didn't know he'd auditioned for Merl, but I'm glad they created Darryl for him. I like him because of the contrast between his background and Rick's (policeman) and Beth's (innocent wholesome). And they highlighted that nicely by putting him with his 'type' of people, and showing him rise above them. Yay Darryl.

kentish I completely agree. I really like carols character because I see her as strong, nurturing, caring,
Decisive, loyal AND attractive. Ditto michonne. Most women on this thread I think would choose to be either of those two in that situation.

You don't see any posts saying oh I hope in the zombie apocalypse I act just like beth

yeah hoppingmad I think this is the interpretation of the cannibals in the comics. if they follow what happens in the comics next it could be interesting

I love Carol and Michonne (hence nickname!). I also like Maggie, she's pretty tough and resourceful too.

I love Michone. Especially in season 3 when she picked up that toy thing and said she couldn't leave it because it was 'too darn cute', we saw some of her personality and it was great

Was Eugene in the box car or was he first for the BBQ? And why do we think the cannibals (assuming we are right) are so determined to feed the next bunch of incomers some presumably human flesh, before taking them prisoner?

With the candles/symbols and the almost ritualistic fixed words of 'plateful', are there any comparisons coming later to Messiah/saviour/communion/taking flesh and blood? (no offence meant)

Good episode although the ending was a bit weak. And I was shouting at TV for them all to hug and be happy to see one another.

I assume the food they give them is drugged. Then they wake up in a railway car stripped of all their weapons, riot gear and ugly ponchos.

Apparently we'll find out very early on in the next season what the dealio is.

I wondered whether it was to get them enjoying the taste of meat, before they found out what it was... like "Oh too bad, you've already eaten it, might as well get on with it then!"

Come to think of it, did Glenn's group seem a bit doped up to you? They were all very subdued. who wouldn't be to be fair

Didn't notice whether Fake Scientist man was with the group, but I do wonder whether Ginger GI Joe might be the first for the BBQ - he's rather meaty....

I thought it was a bloody brilliant season finale! Every minute of it! I was actually shaking. Loved the flashback cutaways showing how rick can never go back to the farmer her almost was. Loved the brutal scene with the bad guys - Rick did was anyone would've done in that situation.

Everything about it as amazing.

The best bit.....ricks threatening line at the end.

My guess is Carol and Tyreese will find the weapons and figure out that Rick stashed them and guess something is up, and hopefully save the day.

When Rick found the pocket watch I thought Glenn was dead for sure. So relieved to see him still alive.

Agree they definitely came across as drugged. Maybe the milk powder that fattens them up contains a drug.

What the hell am I going to watch now?

Any recommendations? Is Homeland coming back any time soon?
