Everyone is saying that tonights episode is the best yet, baby needs to sleep so I can watch it!

OP posts:
MoominsYonisAreScary · 31/03/2014 23:25

Im back to my Dexter boxsets, not the same though!

MoominsYonisAreScary · 31/03/2014 23:29

Did I hear lots of screaming as they were running around the place? Are there other people locked away or did I imagen it?

curiousgeorgie · 31/03/2014 23:31

They ran past other crates and people were screaming for help..

curiousgeorgie · 31/03/2014 23:32

Game of Thrones is back next week!

moreyear · 31/03/2014 23:33

I thought it was a great final - Rick was brilliant. Hopefully Carol and Tyresse were observing from a distance and saw him bury the bag. Or maybe the flashback of Beth donning the Sherrifs' hat and Rick saying 'there's a new Sheriff in town' is another great piece of foreshadowing like Rick's snare lesson.

The lack of hugging/joy at the reunion was so perplexing and will Maggie EVER ask about her sister?

The writing on the wall in the candle room would suggest Gareth's group went through something pretty traumatic I thought?

MichonnesSamuraiSword · 31/03/2014 23:33

I thought I heard other people in the crates shouting yes.

What's Game of Thrones like, any good?

NurseyWursey · 31/03/2014 23:34

I read something by the writers that said that in this episode they wanted to show Rick's transformation into the true leader, the one who will do anything to keep his people alive and strong.

Next season will be brilliant.

moreyear · 31/03/2014 23:34

There were definitely people in the cargo containers calling out help as they ran past.

moreyear · 31/03/2014 23:39

I agree NurseyWursey they have tidied up the loose ends, beefed up the characterisation a bit, got Rick through his existential crisis, included a couple of pivotal scenes from the comics...next season should be fantastic :)

curiousgeorgie · 31/03/2014 23:40

I love Game Of Thrones, it took me a few episodes to get into it but it ended really well last season with lots going on. It's all on catchup?

jemjelly · 31/03/2014 23:42

Difficult to see how they are going to get away when the bad guys have so many weapons including machine guns.

Loved the episode but agreed it was a bit of an anticlimax at the end, I didn't see the milk powder but did spot some paper cups and plates on the floor outside the railcart. I loved all the references Rick made to traps and rabbit runs but it was pretty obvious that they were being herded somewhere.

Was the writing on the floor of the room with the candles names? I watched it twice but couldn't quite catch it.

Actually started to like Coral in this episode too, I really thought they were going to shoot him at the end.

more wasn't Gareth one of them though?

The more I think about it the angrier I feel - how dare they lure people in like that! "Those who arrive survive" and all that salvation bullshit. I actually hate Mary and her smug face.

I didn't notice she was pregnant though.

so guessing what they do is drug the human meat, fix everyone a plate and then stash them in the railcart to eat later.

But how much food do they need - there were only about 20 of them.

BlueFrenchHorn · 31/03/2014 23:53

Coral annoyed me, how dare he be in a shit with rick for doing what he had to do.

There were plenty of "Coral...coral!...CORAL!!" moments lol

moreyear · 01/04/2014 00:06

Oh yes Gareth was definitely part of the group I just thought in that candle/memorial room the message on the wall was something like Never again, Never trust. Us first always.

This made me think all the names written on the floor weren't outsider victims but members of Gareth's tribe who had been killed? (either killed and eaten by the tribe in bad times or slaughtered by outsiders?)

Midori1999 · 01/04/2014 00:14

I've just finished watching. Grin

I was a bit disappointed with the ending tbh. I hate cliffhangers. The obvious thing is that terminus/Gareth et al are cannibals, but I wonder if that's just a bit too obvious and if the 'clues' such as the BBQ, skeletons etc were there to throw us?

Also, did anyone else hear the voice say 'get them away from 'b' when they were being herded? On a radio or something and there were a series of doors marked 'a', S well as the rail at at the end and that Aldo had 'nw' on the side?

I wish it was October.

CheerfulYank · 01/04/2014 01:16

I'm mad because they said that Daryl "wasn't done" talking to Rick about the whole Carol situation and I wanted some resolution there.

moreyear · 01/04/2014 01:41

I heard the B comment to Midori.

I have just read this quite good interview with Kirkman and Gimple about the finale and season 5 that discusses the cannibalism (or not) a little.

CheerfulYank · 01/04/2014 02:29

I used to be madly in love with quite like Daryl AND Norman. But now I've gone off Norman a lot and I think it's affecting how I see Daryl. As I said I'm still excited to meet him though, I've heard he's really lovely to his fans :)

BlueFrenchHorn · 01/04/2014 04:26

cheerful what made you go off Norman Reedus?

Such a great cliffhanger for S4. The gang had been in tighter jams than this before -remember Glenn helping Rick when he was trapped under the car surrounded by walkers or when they had no choice but to cover themselves in walker guts and wall amongst them and it started to rain.

I have every faith the core gang will escape this.

CheerfulYank · 01/04/2014 07:16

Because he uses the wrong "your". :o No, not really. I mean he does but that's not the reason. Confused

Just...general immaturity I think. I used to just think he was shy, sort of boyish, which is true. But it's deeper than that. Having followed him on Twitter and seeing that most of his interaction is with very young fans (like teenage girls), and his DMs to them...I don't know.

I want to be really really clear in that I have never seen or heard of anything that I would think of as sinister in any way and I don't think he's pervy or anything. His last girlfriend was 20, which I tend to roll my eyes at when the guy's 45, but it doesn't really make him much different from a lot of people in Hollywood!

I think he's very insecure overall and has spoken out about how much he hates confrontation, which is why I think he likes his young fans so much. They are beyond worshipful toward him and obsess over everything he says and does. I think he finds that easier than being challenged.

SillyTilly123 · 01/04/2014 07:19

I think the Terminus folk were herding them where they wanted to go. I also heard the screaming etc but my thoughts were that they were the terminus folk in one of the rooms screaming to draw them in there, because as they went into that room a door shut so they had to go through another one. Could be (and probably) wrong though.

Im not sure if Carl was being weird about Rick because he was scared he was turning into him. When he said something about "he thinks I'm an ok guy, but I'm a monster too".

I do hope Beth comes back and kicks ass. Maybe she has "joined" Terminus, but helps them escape. The boxcar was not locked so unless theres a guard they could just walk out.

CheerfulYank · 01/04/2014 07:34

I'd lay odds on Beth being relatively unharmed in a cult somewhere.

I just want Carol to come swooping in and save the day, laying the Terminus folk out with one hand while cradling Judith in the other.

rallytog1 · 01/04/2014 08:59

I would put money on the first scene of season 5 being Carol and Tyrese in the woods, approaching Terminus, hearing the gunfire, then stumbling across Rick's bag of guns. There must be a reason why they've been kept out of the equation.

moreyear · 01/04/2014 09:11

I kind of thought the same about Carl SillyTilly123 - especially after he gave that emphatic 'They did' when asked by the people at Terminus if whomever they had been fighting deserved it.

He knew Rick spent all that time being a farmer (and father) at the prison in order to give him a moral compass and though he did develop one (rushing to save the stranger) he still has these thoughts that he is scared make him a monster. So he is afraid of disappointing his father rather than afraid of him.
