I read it as not breeding for food but breeding to up the human race again. Isn't it something like 0.5% of the population left?

If it is a breeding place then 9mths is a long time to wait for a baby to be born and then how long do they spend feeding them up before they decide to sacrifice them?

Judith on screen also freaked me out. I couldn't bare it. I was so worried for her continuously.

I've started reading the comic issues synopsis, and I think the Hunters are different from the people at Terminus? I don't know what Terminus is called in the comics but I'm pretty sure it's distinct from the Hunters. The Hunters hunt individuals or small groups down and then keep them alive whilst cutting and eating parts off them Shock Rather than luring them in as a so-called sanctuary. I'm liking the idea of it being a breeding place though - and it looked like they'd undergone some really awful traumatic time because of the writing on the walls - never again, trust no one - and the names on the floor.

I cant wait for it to return in october.
I think they are cannibals, its in the comics and wwriters and producers have said they are reverting to some stories from the comics.

Monroe I agree with u, maybe they''re experimenting on people? I don't think they''ll be cannibals because that would be too easy and what we all expect. I''ve tortured myself thinking what I'd do with my children, how I'd protect them Sad I'm struggling to find anything else to watch, I can't get into Game of Thrones, can't wait till TWD is back

Ooooh no I couldn't watch it for fear of getting upset Shock Grin Could you just tell me what happens? HA. Since having DS I am so super sensitive - I would be physically uncomfortable whenever Judith was on screen.

Strangely not so bothered about poor Mika but I do love Coral. I know he's not that popular around these parts but if I was in a ZA, and DS was 7 or 8, I'd want him to be like Coral Grin

Everyone has moved on from TWD now, haven't they? I'm so behind. I'm still in the place of obsessing about it but it ended last month. Dayuuum.

zebra I totally get that feeling of helplessness when you try and imagine how you would protect your children in those kind of situations. I have kept myself awake at night wondering about what I would do.

Did you watch the link someone put on earlier in the thread (I think it was Kentish) It was a short film called Cargo about a man and how he protects his baby. It's very good.

I've been thinking a bit more about terminus. I can totally see how they could be cannibals but I can't help thinking there is more to it. They looked like they were working in some sort of command or communication centre with maps and stuff on the walls. Seemed a bit elaborate just to try and lure in dinner Grin

Hahaha yes that's exactly what I was doing yesterday. Trawling sites for precious information to feed the fix. Wet Paint is a good site!

I also found a wiki of the graphic novels with a synopsis of each one to read without having to buy the graphic novels. I would like to but just don't have the time or money!

They wanted someone who wasn't a known 'face' in America but he had a reasonably high profile because of his Love Actually appearance...

Or at least that is what it said on some website I was trawling, to get my fix in the sad absence of any new episodes.

Also, how did Egg even get the role? I don't mean that in a bad way - just how earth did that come about??

Totally bereft at the end of this season. TWD lost me mid season two but I am back into it with a vengeance. This last season has been so bleak, so much more so than the other seasons. I have actually cried ACTUAL tears thinking about how I'd keep my toddler alive in the event of a zombie apocalypse.

I don't even know what to say about it all...it's so brutal and they're losing their humanity...but then find it again in the face of even LESS humanity. So much good discussion here.

Television Without Pity do some great recaps - they're mostly critical of Rick, but I think he's awesome and totally flawed and believable because of those flaws. I came to love Merl in the season last, which I thought would never happen! Darryl has my love because I love a good anti-hero, and I've even started to like Carl - HA at you guys calling him Coral Grin

I don't have much to add just...it's stayed with me which is always the sign of a good show. It's frustrating and heart-in-mouth and left me feeling desolate. It's improved massively upon season 2, which seems everyone across the whole internet seems to agree on. There were times I physically couldn't bear Judith being on screen because the thought of trying to keep a baby alive was too much! Very interesting ideas about terminus - I too thought canabilism but I'm starting to come round to the idea of a breeding camp.

My DP was the same, he watched the first ep with me and was uninterested in the rest. I pushed on and it does get better. It's no Game of Thrones or TWD but it's entertaining enough Smile

True Detectiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive. Ugh. I love it. Keep with it. (Although is spot-on Grin )

I watched the first Helix but DH said he wouldn't watch any more and I thought I hadn't enjoyed it enough to make it a thing I watch by myself. That space in my life is full with medical shows!

Saw the first True Detective yesterday. It was Ok. It hasn't blown me away yet.

I LOVE True Detective.

If you're missing zombies, you might try Helix (but you would have to DL it Blush ) - not zombies exactly but people infected with a virus that makes them rush around all homicidal and drooling black gunk Grin

It's set in an Arctic research station, bit like The Thing, so has quite a nice claustrophobic atmosphere going on.

I was watching True Detective and really enjoying it BUT then I realised I had FOUR episodes of TWD on Sky Go that I had unaccountably not noticed, so I am afraid TD has now lost most of its lustre.

I think its similar to how Buffy spoiled a lot of other similar teen angst shows for me - it was just so much more interesting when they were battling the undead.

Is true detective any good? I've heard mixed reviews.

My lively neighbour has loaned me the first series of GOT so I will be starting watching tonight. Yay!

Well I made it through last night without TWD but it was a long nightWink

Game of Thrones is keeping my Mondays exciting for the time being. It wasn't so edge on seat last night but I think that was because it was the first in the new series, so more re-introducing the characters and setting the scene. (Will try to stick more on TWD topic and not derail with talk of GOT!)

Spero · 07/04/2014 23:13

I am watching True Detective on catch up but there is a dearth of zombies.

Yeah okra can be slimy. Only time I enjoyed it, it was part of a stir fry.

I fancy Tiramisu now...
