Everyone is saying that tonights episode is the best yet, baby needs to sleep so I can watch it!

OP posts:

He shot a rat in the garden in the head from about 20ft. One second it was climbing up the trellis; the next it was lying neatly on the ground. Rats' heads are really small. I was in awe. He was too. He confessed that he didn't realise he was that good a shot.

Re: kitchen appliances. I went to an exhibition featuring these last week. I recommend the multi-functional hand blender. Lethal, adaptable and above all, in stylish brushed steel.

Not rechargeable though, would would be bad in a wind-up battery post-apocalyptic world.

IdaBlankenship · 28/03/2014 18:00

I have the cheap version of that. I was kind of hoping to not have to get close enough to the zombies in order to blend them.

If your DH is that good a shot, we shall have to adopt him as our group Daryl, how are his moonshine making skills?

limitedperiodonly · 28/03/2014 18:08

He'd probably be okay at moonshine. He's from Somerset. There is a brand of scrumpy called Cripplecock Shock which is sold in plastic bottles. That's obviously the legally-available non-blinding version. Other versions are available.

IdaBlankenship · 28/03/2014 18:28

Any cider that can be bought in plastic bottles is always classy Smile

CheerfulYank · 28/03/2014 18:32

That is one area where we'd be set...rural Midwest America, can't spit for hitting a gun of some sort Wink

IdaBlankenship · 28/03/2014 18:40

You must have some neighbours with moonshine too CheerfulYank!

limitedperiodonly · 28/03/2014 18:47

cheerfulyank my English friend is east coast but south - Virginia. She's an American citizen now and likes her neighbours lots but confesses to be nervous of their guns.

MrsKermittSmith · 28/03/2014 18:53

I'll be here on Monday. Bit worried...

Yamyoid · 28/03/2014 19:32

Just butting in again, sorry can't keep up with thread...surely bob's purpose is to be killed barbecued and quite probably Beth too. I mean, they were non-characters who've been given stories to make their deaths more dramatic without killing off main characters . Although u haven't seen the first half of s4 s
WWZ is brilliant.

Yamyoid · 28/03/2014 19:34

Sorry posted too soon--
Meant to say, I haven't seen 1st half of s4 so I don't know if those two characters had more a significance in the story previously.

Midori1999 · 28/03/2014 20:22

Hmm... I'm thinking my kitchenaid, although stylish, wouldn't be much good in the fight against zombies, whether slow or fast moving....

We are also on the outskirts of a city, which is surely bad news? Although DH is in the army and it's 'his' camp, which means in a zombie apocolypse maybe all the years of army nonsense I've had to put up with would be worth it... Grin

Midori1999 · 28/03/2014 20:23

I quite like bob, but I'd rather he went than most of the others. Surely Michonne is invincible and can't actually be killed?

CheerfulYank · 28/03/2014 20:34

Limited it's funny...I don't give a thought to gins, they just are. But if you're not from this culture it'd be terrifying!

I think it might appear that Daryl dies but like Carol "died" before he found her. Unless we see walker Daryl or corpse Daryl, he's not dead.

CheerfulYank · 28/03/2014 20:34

Guns. I give lots of thought to gin. Wink

CheerfulYank · 28/03/2014 20:36

No moonshine, that's down South. I'm Midwest but waaaaay up north, basically Canadian. :)

limitedperiodonly · 28/03/2014 20:40

I have a real soft spot for Bob because as amberleaf says, he has unexplored depths. Also because the actor used to be in The Wire and I liked him and I do always confuse characters with actors Grin.

And The Wire had seemingly invincible characters too...saying no more in case people haven't seen it.

Midori1999 · 28/03/2014 20:44

I'm probably being stupid, but how did carol 'die'? I might actually die if Daryl dies. I think I'm a teeny bit in love with him/Norman reedus.

CheerfulYank · 28/03/2014 21:01

I used to be in love with Norman Reedus but have gone off him a bit now. Still excited to meet him though! :)

When Carol was lost in that cell and TDog sacrificed himself for her? Remember Daryl went to her grave.

limitedperiodonly · 28/03/2014 21:01

cheerfulyank I'm a journalist. Ages ago I heard that in Montana, or maybe it was Wyoming (which is up Canada-way) there was a loophole that meant there was no speed limit.

I had to find that out because we were going to stage some supercar race with Lamborghinis and things run on rocket fuel and as pansy-ass English bastards we didn't want to be shot on sight.

I called the number I founded listed as the police headquarters, assuming I could leave an answerphone message and they could get back to me.

I woke up some poor sheriff at about 3am. It was his home number. He wasn't charmed by my English accent. He wasn't as polite as we're led to believe all Americans will be either Wink

IdaBlankenship · 28/03/2014 21:04

midori I reckon a Kitchenaid could be used for bashing zombie brains in (I'm suprised they don't mention that feature in the advertising).

Daryl can not die. Angry

CheerfulYank · 28/03/2014 21:06

Hahahha! I bet he wasn't overly polite. :o Depends on the part of the country, too...where I'm from we're extremely passive agressive courteous

Driveway · 28/03/2014 21:15

I would quite like it if Daryl died. Sorry!
But I don't think he will go yet.
I do think he's quite useful as a non comic character.

StealthPolarBear · 28/03/2014 23:00

Damn! I have just watched the very sad one with Mica and lizzie and thought I'd caught up but I think we are recording the Sunday ones and you are all on Monday ones!
So we have two more to go... and ihave to keep ignoring when this pops up in threads Im On.
Poor Lizzie, and poor Mika. When Carol and Tyreese left at the end had they forgotten the baby? And where was she when most ofthis was going down? Do they just leave her in her cot? I'm happy with a range of parenting styles but leaving a baby at risk of free range zombies is extreme even for Gina FOrd

Blondeshavemorefun · 28/03/2014 23:30

Stealth - download from demand and watch tomorrow and then can watch Mondays

Will avoid this thread at Monday 9pm
