About the burning of the photo. I didn't buy that. It's all very nice and romantic to say, oh, you don't need a photo, you've got me, but c'mon...this is a world where everyone is at imminent risk of death ALL THE TIME. I think I'd want to hang onto the one photo I had of my loved one!

I'm laughing at fast and slow zombies as I started watching TWD when DS4 was 2 weeks old. DH had been away for a week with work and I needed some alone time without the other DC, so I stayed up late and when I put the first episode on I was thinking 'I'll just watch the start and if the zombies are fast/scary, I won't watch'. I stayed up all week (well I did have a newborn) and watched the first three seasons.

I caught the first episode whilst channel-hopping late one night. Had never heard anything about it so had no idea what it was. I remember phoning DP at work and saying I'd found this bizarre but awesome zombie TV programme and Andrew Lincoln was in it, of all people, with a deep South accent. He didn't believe me

I thought it was some sort of straight-to-TV B movie. Seems weird now that TWD is a big deal!

WWZ was good, but yes those zombies were way too fast!

I watch TWD with my 17 yr old and we regularly have discussions on what we would in the event of a zombie apocalypse. I say that if they are fast runners, then I don't want to even try to survive. TWD walkers, I could handle, but only if I have access to a huge arsenal of weapons, or Michonnes sensai!

If I was in TWD I wouldn't have made it out if the hospital! If I had made it to the tank (doubtful!) I think I would have shot myself there and then!

Fast zombies... Literally my biggest fear!

Although Robert Kirkman had said nothing you see this season is random or coincidence, so I suspect it is a sign to Daryl that they're tracking a Rick.

That's interesting rallytog as I've just seen that someone has noticed scenes/clips/lines from the last few episodes match things from the video game, which would also indicate what terminus might be.

I'm not sure it will be Maggie, Glen or Beth as, in TWD World its only been, what? 5 days since Hershal died so not sure they'd kill someone invthe same family? Tbh I dont want anyone to die and I definitely don't want a cliffhanger grrr.

I think there is possibly more to be found out about Bobs character, so I wouldn't like to see him go. I want to know more about his life pre the walkers and what happened to him up to when he met the current group.

I think there are depths to Bob we haven't yet seen.

I think Bob is in the books quite a bit. I quite like Bob - not so much Sacha she's a bit non descript.

The fast zombies in WWZ really scared me - I think there would be no hope of survival if the zombies were that fast and crazed.
My DH and I have been discussing how we would fortify our house to survive a (slow, shuffling) zombie apocalypse. Our real problem is a lack of weapons - no guns or samurai swords.

Hmm perhaps we should get out more..

I'm seeing The Grand Budapest Hotel tomorrow. No zombies there, I fear. It's had really good reviews but I do like mindless violence and gore. In the same multiplex the 300 film is showing and even though it's been panned, I suspect my shallow heart would like it better.

I didn't love WWZ but it had some really good moments. It was surprisingly un-gory for a zombie flick (I don't do gore well) and had some visually stunning set pieces. I thought the wife and children were rather underused - but perhaps they have more to do in the planned sequel?

IdaBlankenship DH is very fit. He's also a good shot with an air rifle. I'm built more for comfort than speed and we don't have any long, swinging implements like spades or hoes.

I could do a lot of damage with my Braun Multiquick kitchen gadget attachments, but that would be at close range and if the electricity had gone off I'd be fucked. Or even if it was on, obviously I'd be tethered to a plug socket, which isn't a good escape plan.

I'm fucked, aren't I? DH would run off shouting: 'Take her!'

Our plan is to set ds3 on em (scary toddler) dp is a shutter joiner, he says he will build a big concrete wall around us.

Limited that is our family back-up plan, throw me to the zombies whilst DH and the kids make their escape, we figure he would be able to keep them safer for longer.
I like your use of kitchen appliances - perhaps I could pimp up my Magimix into a lethal zombie killing machine?
