I've just watched the first episode. I liked the scar scene.
I think the cardinal saw Adele stroke Aramis' pistol (Arf), or at least fondle something in her drawer. Easy for him to look and find the pistol.
Then, when he takes her to be shot, he produces the pistol, she recognises it and shouts that she loves Aramis repeatedly, then is shot. He definitely hears.
Aramis goes to see Adele, but the housekeeper (?) tells him she is away in the country, but that she wanted him to have something. (The pistol)
So,we are waiting to see what happens next.
Am about to watch episode two now the three little twits are in bed.

Just seen this week's episode. I am so happy at a Cardinal heavy episode, he has the best dialogue.

MTM I don't think I've ever mentioned that my main client has a striking similarity to PC. He is very tall and slim, silver haired, poshly and softly spoken (I know PC is Scottish!), mind bogglingly clever, immaculately turned out and while he is a man of few words, he also has a very quick, dry sense of humour. Brightens my day, I can tell you!

Shit. I was just going to put my tuppenceworth in about the pistol and Cardinal asking Milady to find its owner. I think Cardinal asked Milady to find the owner of the pistol, gets it back, and then he takes Adele for a ride in his carriage and shoots her in the forest where she shouts that she loves Aramis. Either that, or it was Mrs Peacock in the library with the revolver.

I'm going to have to watch episode one again aren't I?

No idea re studying and working along with everything else. I go out to work and don't do any studying, but I would agree that Hannah's talents definitely have a literary leaning.

Parents' evening was fab and I am super proud of DS2! To celebrate I shall post lots of links later tonight.

No idea how far Aramis's loyalty will take him. I'm half looking forward to episode nine because it seems to be Aramis and Queenie, but half not because then there will only be one episode left and then that will be over and I will be sad.

Hannah thank you. That is very kind. Thing is you need to try a few things to see what you're amazing at. Everyone is amazing at something, I'm not a "woooo I see dead people" type but I really do believe that this is absolutely true. Keep looking and thinking about things that vaguely interest you and you will eventually find something you will be brilliant at. Sadly life is to short not to take the bull by the horns at times and think FUCK IT, I'm having that.
