My eyes are like sandpaper. I'm reading the same sentences over and over and over again. I am studying from home. Had to put pause on it for about 6 months to sort out housey shit back when time wasn't such an issue, but now on account of being all SINGLE FUCKING PARENTY I need to get on quick sharp and try to get qualified asap so that I'm not working the streets of Paris for rest of life.

Hannah I work on pure adrenaline. Leave it all to the last minute as usually too occupied getting all fighty with Aramis and sometimes throwing weapons around.

Work: bare minimum until the boss is about to arrive in London then frantically do everything.
Study: much the same.

I have helpful parents and a DH who has taken annual leave. Helpful advice would be to plan your time hour by hour, to include muskewenching, coffee, grumpy sex with Athos etc. and just do it! At exam time I do stick to this and procrastinate far less.

You need rewards though, do you do an hour of work you get an episode of Athos' house burning down etc.

Frankly adrenaline works best.

Just wondered if there is any way to stop the glazing of eyes going on or if it is just par for the course.

I seem to manage by pumping myself full of coffee and choc/biscuits. But I'm either too cold, can't settle. Or get too warm and want to drift off.

Just wanted some reassurance really... is this normal? Or am I just really crap?

Are you studying something boring? I love my subject so that helps and I get to pick the essays I write and the topics I revise so I tend not to glaze over very often. i Just ignore the shot I am not interested in. I have developed a strange interest in 17th Century French History now though..

Really you just have to force it through and ignore the cold/hot/fidgety stuff - most of the time once you get started you are away.
