Yay! Sewing Bee is back!

Does anyone else watch it? Or is it just me...

I love it because it reminds me of another life when I used to sew (before the DC's came along and before I lost the footpedal to my sewing machine in a house move).

The contestants are just so talented and I like the beardy man judge too. Anyone else?

Watching in bed cos I'm poorly sick & can't eat custard (old family saying. I've not actually tried eating custard today).

coffeeinbed · 04/03/2014 20:05

Leggings?

Comedy potential - 10 out of 10.

iklboo · 04/03/2014 20:06

Tamara WOULD have to be stretchy herself wouldn't she Grin

TheOneWithTheHair · 04/03/2014 20:07

Found you! I'll read back and I'm watching on iplayer later. :)

Roussette · 04/03/2014 20:08

Hehe.. oh yes on Tamara! I am waiting for the inevitable fight with a dummy when someone cuts them too small !

God i so want an overlocker Sad

iklboo · 04/03/2014 20:10

I love Linda Envy

TunipTheUnconquerable · 04/03/2014 20:12

Overlocker must be petrifying - if you sewed it wrong unpicking wouldn't help if it actually cuts the fabric!

TunipTheUnconquerable · 04/03/2014 20:12

Love the history of lycra stuff. Fascinating.

Roussette · 04/03/2014 20:16

Claudia's funny isn't she... and I don't think she's a sewer!

Roussette · 04/03/2014 20:25

Gosh those mustard yellow ones are revolting and with a pocket?!

TunipTheUnconquerable · 04/03/2014 20:26

Good, David will stay in the game after that excellent legging performance.
I like all that macho 'I keep my haberdashery in the garage' stuff, it's funny.

LottieJenkins · 04/03/2014 20:31

DS2 has just updated his FB to say how pleased he is that Lynda won the first test!!

iklboo · 04/03/2014 20:32

Jooooo-lie & her bloody ruffles.

I may be scarred for life by ruffles & gingham. My nan so wanted a lovely girly granddaughter. She got me who preferred climbing, playing with boys & getting covered in mud.

MaryWestmacott · 04/03/2014 20:36

I didn't like Tamara's one, seemed a bit much.

Roussette · 04/03/2014 20:37

Aww on your DS Lottie!

I'm surprised at that winning one.

Jellykat · 04/03/2014 20:37

Chinelo should've got that one imo

TunipTheUnconquerable · 04/03/2014 20:39

I agree, Chinelo's was amazing - simple but very skilled.

I suppose the kids' leotard was also skilled though.

iklboo · 04/03/2014 20:39

Patrick just said 'wizards sleeve'. Snurk.

(Round here that's a euphemism for saggy lady parts).

Jellykat · 04/03/2014 20:42

Grin iklboo

Roussette · 04/03/2014 20:44

Just imagining what it would be like to have a DH who made a dress for me.

Nope. Can't imagine it. Grin

Jellykat · 04/03/2014 20:48

Chinelos is well classy!
