I really dislike Carl.

More so than usual.

Jemjelly - my thought on the grandfather clock was that it had stopped when it was tipped over, because the pendulum couldn't swing - but then when it was back upright again, the movement of putting it back up set the pendulum going again, and started the clock - so it could have been stopped for ages.

YY to wanting a sober Daryl, with his crossbow at the ready, if I was going to go on a bender! And yy to the foolishness of burning down a perfectly usable house, and wombling off into the woods, pissed.

I took one look at Beth in her primrose yellow t-shirt and white cardigan combo, and said straight away - that is going to be a bugger to keep clean! And I don't understand why they were assiduously picking up all sorts of stuff that might be useful, but Beth didn't collect any extra clothes whilst they were in the golf club shop.

Burning down the house in the middle of the night and stumbling off into the zombie-infested woods is exactly the sort of thing you'd do while pissed.

I trimmed my eyebrows on Saturday night after getting home from a party. I'd noticed in the loos that they looked a bit unkempt and needed tackling.

They'll grow.

I think pp is right about thread suggesting class war at golf club. Was watching episode again and all the bodies in the open appear to be wealthy (wearing jewellery and nice clothes) but the bodies in the dogtrot are all wearing uniforms.

Also the way the uniformed people are all laid to rest and the others are strewn about and hung and the rich bitch is posed seems looks like a prolonged attack.

The walkers coming out are all rich looking clothed people and the only one uniform walker who attacked Beth.

Still find it weird that all these places are so close to the prison but that they never went exploring - esp for clean clothes

Grandfather clock do need weekly winding (daddy blondes has a huge one) and of stops you need to start the pendulum again so think someone had been there to wind the clock up

blondes Daryl said that he and Michonne had previously found the house with the moonshine, so he already knew about it. I really enjoyed the episode and I know some of you may never speak to me again but I hope Beth and Daryl do get together, I feel sorry for her. Saying that I think she may bite the dust in next week's episode, remember she was saying that she knows she''ll be gone one day and Daryl will be the last an standing, either that or Daryl will save her and they''ll have sex.Tbh I never really got the Carol and Daryl thing.

I couldn't watch Monday because I couldn't connect to MN and I was a complete chicken. I needn't have been it seems!

Lots of it cheesed me off. The wanting to get pissed was irritating and pointless. I kinda understand it but it was a shite execution.

The bad editing annoyed me wrt her clothes.

Sorry BlueFrenchHorn but I never understood what Daryl would see in somebody like Carol (maybe that's just me coz she got on my nerves) I wouldn't have chosen to put him with Beth but now they''ve been thrown together perhaps she''ll grow up a bit. be flirting with him too. Also wasn't she 17 when the outbreak started? So she must be 19/20 surely. That's a bit better age wise.

That's true 50 it didn't occur to me that she'd age lol. Yeah that makes sense that she'd be 19/20 now.

I want rick and michonne to happen. And I think there needs to be a shock death soon.

I don't see him suited with Beth either.

If we're pairing Daryl off with people, I nominate Michonne. I love them together. They had a moment in the first part of the season, when they were off getting the magic medicine, that I thought hinted at A Thing.

Plus they are the two most badass ones, so if they watch each other's backs they will be invincible they will be like Teflon to zombies!

Noo michonne and rick belong together!

Only been 18ish mths since outbreak so she must be 18ishyrs old and still too young and silly for Darryl

I think Daryl is a bit too redneck for Michonne.

I don't really think that Daryl and Carol are suited to each other, but they're just sweet together - Carol was vulnerable and mistreated by her husband, Daryl looks out for her. Whereas Daryl has a huge inferiority complex which Carol looks out for with him. And remember when Carol went missing in the prison, Daryl was inconsolable. They're just sweet.

See I love Tyreese as well, he's adorable. We need to find a match for him.

Beth - well I like her, but she's a silly giggly girly. I think the needing to get drunk / one fingered salute thing was her breaking out from her good girl, slightly controlled by Daddy persona. She just needs to shag a few bad boys (boys, not 40 yr old men) and she'll be just fine. Perhaps there'll be some new love interests at Terminus when they all get there.

Can someone tell me whether the snake that Daryl skinned was real or not? I thought they weren't allowed to do that sort of thing for TV, but it sure looked real to me...

I see carol as an older sister figure to Daryl I'm actually glad the show is not full of shagging tbh it would be too easy to fill it up with rubbish like that.

It looked real to me too (shudders). Could tyreese and carol get together? I know the whole her killing his girlfriend part but say it transpires it was lizzie, carol covered it up etc. Do you think they could have a moment?

Tbh TWD has never been big on romantic relationships - shane and lori shagged for a bit, and he also shagged Andrea other than yhat it's just glenn and maggie.

I think Carol and Daryl have more of a brother / sister relationship, and I like the fact that TWD is capable of portraying a close friendship between a man and a woman without feeling they have to take it in a romantic direction.

That said, I'm 100% team Richonne . Michonne's backstory seems to point that way. It makes sense for her to be drawn to a man determined to make some sort of life for his children in the ZA, rather than giving up. Rick is the antithesis of her partner.

I always thought the carol and daryl thing was a bit weird, I think he just felt protective of her. Couldnt see them together. Saying that, I like her less and less each series.

Rick definitely appears to be downtrodden and vulnerable. His initial attraction was his strength which now seems to have disappeared.

Beth must be 18 tops, Axel asked her how old she was last season and she said 17. And she was definiteky 16 back on the farm.

I do prefer Daryl with Carol (the actors are 3/4 years apart in age I think), but I'd prefer that they just remained friends than ruined it with an awkward shag. I would definitely rather see those two romantically linked than Daryl and Beth though. Lord knows there's enough mid-40's yr old man paired with sexy young blonde relationships shown on TV. Why can't we have two similarly aged people who obviously get along great hooking up Why are women in their late 30's/40's not viewed as relationship material on these shows. Carol is hardly unattractive.

Carol and Tyrese has been mentioned elsewhere (I think they were a couple for a while in the comics) but they'd have to sort out the whole 'murder' sub plot first - though they've dragged that on so long I'm amazed anyone even remembers who Karen/David were.

As for Daryl, other than the closeness with Carol - which could just as easily be platonic - he's always seemed a bit asexual.

Rick should stay away from Michonne - he's useless, he'll drain her awesome.
