Vera leaving the cobbles really made me blubbing. I'm not sure if Hayley's departure will make me feel the same?

OP posts:

I really hope its Tracey-Luv and she goes down for good this time.

ajandjjmum · 05/02/2014 19:25

I personally think that the scriptwriters look on MN for their inspiration (Asda and Aldi, Hayley's red coat was mentioned, Kirk and Beth getting married), so they can't fail to have noticed that we all hate Tracy.

She needs to go!!!! Grin

carabos · 05/02/2014 19:29

Please please let TracyLuv be the killer so that she goes away for ever. Every last thing about that one dimensional pantomime baddy character sets my teeth on edge.

mileysorearse · 06/02/2014 07:48

I agree, and in the meantime stop trying to give her the 'killer one liners'. She mangles them to bits with her gurning panto delivery.

ProfYaffle · 06/02/2014 07:52

Soooooo tedious and predictable this whole Owen and the Villain Builder storyline. Like we couldn't all see that one coming a mile off Hmm. Please God let there be some twist to it, I can't bear sitting through this one playing out.

KenDoddsDadsDog · 06/02/2014 07:55

Is this double crosser the same one who robbed him the last time ?

Nancy66 · 06/02/2014 08:00

Yes he never paid Owen for some work - so he and Gary broke into his house.

So, naturally, you'd go into business with a crook who'd ripped you off wouldn't you? Daft storyline!

ProfYaffle · 06/02/2014 08:05

... and sign all the contracts in your name because he couldn't as a bankrupt

qazxc · 06/02/2014 08:53

Why is Carla obsessed with getting Rob and Tina together when both of them are clearly not interested.
Is it because now Hayley's dead and Roy is gone (although only Anna seems to be concerned) she has nowhere to stick her beak in?
I don't quite understand the Owen/Pheelan business deal, what's in it for Pheelan? It is just ridiculous that they would be in business together.

Nancy66 · 06/02/2014 08:59

they have to rotate the characters storylines and the Sophie, Owen & Pheelan and Lloyd + Andrea plots just seem very cobbled together.

The whole new gym idea is going to be tedious as well. Where shall we open a gym? I know, on a street where all the residents smoke like chimneys and drink every night!

qazxc · 06/02/2014 09:04

Well the average diet for the street seems to be fry up for breakfast/cream bun for coffee break/hotpot for lunch/fish and chips or kebab for dinner and booze. They must consume about 8000 calories a day, so they def need a gym.

Clawdy · 06/02/2014 09:57

Apparently they are filming four different endings for Tina, with four different suspects,so the identity will be kept a secret.

eddiemairswife · 06/02/2014 11:26

Expect Ken to return soon!!

YoureBeingASillyBilly · 06/02/2014 11:30

has bill roaches court case ended?

AnneEyhtMeyer · 06/02/2014 11:36

Oh God, just saw the news. I think if Ken comes back I'll definitely stop watching. One more pointless dull character is my tipping point.

eddiemairswife · 06/02/2014 11:38

Yes. Not Guilty on all counts. Unanimous decisions.

AnneEyhtMeyer · 06/02/2014 11:42

They shouldn't have him back. Surely his role his redundant as they have a surfeit of dull, boring, pointless, annoying characters?

Nancy66 · 06/02/2014 12:03

I imagine they'd be on very dodgy ground legally if they suddenly retired his character. Bet he won't have any shagging storylines for a while though!

carabos · 06/02/2014 12:21

I don't understand why they keep bringing in new characters when they don't have enough for the current ones to do, which is why they disappear for ages and then randomly come back, have a cup of tea at Roy's then go off again.

They need a massive cull of the boring ones, Stella's entire family, Owen and Anna and their family except her in the wheelchair and anger management, Rob and Tracy, Dennis, Andrea, Lloyd's daughter, Dev's trainer and Michelle. There, sorted...

mileysorearse · 06/02/2014 13:35

Roache is 81 so I don't think he could do much legally if they killed off the character. I suppose it would depend on how long they renewed his contract for last time.

ajandjjmum · 06/02/2014 13:41

It would be very cruel to Bill Roache as a person not to have him back - even if he doesn't hang around for too long - I should think he just wants a long (proper) holiday now.

And it would be nice for Dreery to be a little less lonely!

mileysorearse · 06/02/2014 15:36

I don't know if I agree. He has had a fair old crack at it and his character is hardly being missed. If they got rid of him it may free up Dreary for some new adventures. Nothing to do with the court case, I just don't miss the character.

YoureBeingASillyBilly · 06/02/2014 15:42

I have missed ken. I dont think dreary works without him. His surperior way with her and tracey always cracked me up.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 06/02/2014 16:14

I quite like Ken and his weary air of resignation to the car crash that his is family. Also the way Tracey pushes him just a bit too far every now and then and he cuts her down to size. Could do with him back for that reason alone. I also think Deirdre is a bit adrift without him.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 06/02/2014 16:14

I'm not missing Kevin though.
