I am confused as I last had Clara (in my head-based Clara tracking device) as sort of loose in the Doctor's timeline. Which is why I wasn't surprised to see her in part one.

He said he was given a whole cycle of regenerations.

I think I read somewhere that ms broke his foot on set so they had to rewrite the walking stick\old age bits in afterwards. That may or may not be true though!

Just managed to catch up - damn laptop has not been letting me access MN (an it's surprising how much more spare time I've had without it...) so haven't been able to join in.

I was a bit deflated first watch round but warmed to it the second. Agree with many of the points up thread and largely with the Den of Geek review. Named a town 'Christmas' just to justify the Christmas day scheduling..

However, I do think Matt Smith has been largely excellent despite my huge love of DT initial misgivings and he will be missed in the Grind household.

On with Capaldi though - he should be brilliant!

Oh, and does anyone know if Paul McG has a small black and white spaniel? I passed a fellow hiker on a walk the other day and after I'd passed him and we'd exchanged 'hellos' I thought "hang on....that just looked/sounded like P McG" and obviously couldn't run back to accost him.
