Thank you I knew I knew her face!

MrsSJG · 25/12/2013 20:33

and I cried, amy pushed me over the edge

DrivingToDistraction · 25/12/2013 20:36

When did 10 regenerate? Going to drive me mad!

AnAdventureInCakeAndWine · 25/12/2013 20:41

In that sully one with all the disappearing planets when he was running to meet Rose.

AnAdventureInCakeAndWine · 25/12/2013 20:42

He's definitely playing it Scottish, then [relieved].

RustyBear · 25/12/2013 20:43

End of series 4 Driving- when rose came back and he got shot by a Dalek when he was running to meet her. He regenerated, but wanted to keep the same face so he diverted the excess regeneration energy into his hand in a jar (which was cut off by the Sycorax just after he regenerated into 10 and which fell to earth and was found by Captain Jack and brought on board the TARDIS) Later the hand 'regenerated' into the Doctor-Donna hybrid which ended up in the other universe with Rose....

PaulMcGannsMistress · 25/12/2013 20:45

Really hoping LetZygonsBeZygons enjoyed that! I was sobbing the second he pulled the bow tie off...

DrivingToDistraction · 25/12/2013 20:46

Oh, see, I hated Rose so I never watched any of those more than once and they haven't stuck in my mind!

GoingGoingGoth · 25/12/2013 20:54

Thank you Oodking the episode Sheila Reid was in previously is one of the earliest ones I can remember.

Seeing Amelia/Amy was brilliant.

fancyanotherfez · 25/12/2013 20:57

It was lovely seeing Amy. Compared to the regen from dt to ms though, I loved ms as soon as he'd done his scene. No so much with pc surprisingly. Maybe because hes going to be less madcap.

tapdancingmum · 25/12/2013 21:02

I watched it but am so glad I taped it as will have to watch it again in silence. I can't abide the inane questions when I'm trying to understand Dr Who which is all I get from DD2. 'Who's that?', 'What's happening?' etc which drive me to distraction Xmas Smile.

Will re-watch it sometime during the week when the DD's are doing their own thing and hopefully DH will be at work.

nikkihollis · 25/12/2013 21:35

Is it understandable as an episode on its own or do you need to have watched (and more importantly, understood) the 50th anniversary edition? I've lost the plot recently so unless this is a stand along episode, will probably just end up even more confused.

fancyanotherfez · 25/12/2013 22:04

It goes back to series 5 with the crack and the silents but I suppose it would make sense. Imo it is worth watching the 50th if you haven't more tjan this one. This was more a goodbye to Matt Smith so you may have to have watched his stuff 10 times over

nikkihollis · 25/12/2013 22:40

thanks fancy. I started watching the 50th but I didn't have enough brain power to work it all out! Was frankly baffled by its complexity. I'll give this one a go and see if I can make any sense of it.

Just making the most of it before they take it away again...

I found it quite confusing on first viewing - there were a lot of loose ends tied up in a single sentence, and it would have been a lot better without all the Christmas rubbish. But I will probably like it better when I've had time to watch it again.

OodKingWenceslas · 26/12/2013 09:59

I'm not usually a fan of Christmas ones but there was a lot in that one. Just need to watch again without 20 questions dd2

OodKingWenceslas · 26/12/2013 10:01

Ooh rusty good idea
