I'm looking forward to it starting again. I've been working my way through the DVDs so am pleased the new ones start soon.

And they say we'll eventually find out who Red John is this series!

Did anyone else find the reveal a bit of a ...let-down? Although I think after six years of build-up, anyone other than Teresa Lisbon or one of her team would have been an anticlimax.

There was an episode ages ago where they went to visit a woman who was a psychic or something. I remember that she made a comment to Cho that his aura was a dark/deep red colour.

I could never work out whether that was supposed to be a hint or a (pardon the pun) red herring.

I've just Googled aura colours and deep red apparently means "Grounded, realistic, active, strong will-power, survival-oriented.", so sounds about right.

Goodness knows what Jane's would be like!

Have just watched the episode where McAllister is revealed as Red John!

I agree that it's a bit of an anticlimax, Holla - but I read in an interview with Bruno Heller that they only decided quite recently who RJ was going to be - so they created the RJ character and then just seemed to stick it onto some bloke in the cast.

Because how would McAllister get all those women to become so enthralled by him, really?

Apart from someone within the team, the only suspect I'd have been convinced by was Brett Styles - he did have the magnetism and charisma to be RJ, I thought. But the others - nah.

I actually think we had a more 'natural' mid-season break than they did in the US for once. It made sense after the reveal episode, while they had another three episodes or so, so are presumably in the middle of the next storyline.

Enjoyed it but was obvious woman was FBI type. Don't know if I am am being stupid but what was the point of her being there and not saying who she was? I really hope she isn't a love interest. Don't think I could cope with Lisbon being sidelined :)
Looks like Rigsby and Van Pelt won't be central characters now? Probably the right decision, not sure where they could go with the characters now.

Agreed. It's only my love of Simon Baker that is keeping me watching. Seems very lightweight now.

I kind of liked it. The RJ episodes were exciting but they were getting quite dark and scary. I always liked the show's sense of humour and there were some really funny moments in this week's episode. And SB is cuter than ever

I think the lightness of it now is almost the point. He's had his cathartic killing of RJ, he's over it.

So now when Styles turns out to be alive, PJ won't kill him. Essentially I think RJ has escaped.

That's my theory, anyway.

I have never got over him killing red John in the cafe and then someone clearly deciding to backtrack and pretend it was all planned and not really red John and he knew that.

if RJ was RJ - I can't understand how he had all those woman under his spell.
