The Mentalist Season Six - 9pm, Channel 5, 29th October

I'm looking forward to it starting again. I've been working my way through the DVDs so am pleased the new ones start soon.

And they say we'll eventually find out who Red John is this series!

I cracked and had a look on wikipedia to see who it is! I had a theory but was wrong! I think the episode with the reveal is on quite soon in the UK I won't say exactly when in case it spoils it for some. Interesting to note that all the episode titles have the colour red or a variation in it. This changes after the reveal.

I can't imagine The Mentalist without the Red John story arc - it's been going for so long now. I wonder what they'll set up to replace it: it would be very odd to simply go to 'story of the week' type episodes without a long-term story arc simmering away in the background.

We find out who he is, but we don't know the outcome I suppose, he might go on the run (although I can't really imagine Jane allowing that). Although if the episode names are changing maybe that indicates he's dead...

I suppose there might be all the tyger stuff to clear up, even if it is linked to him.

I really want to find out how he knew the names on the list.

I was on Digital Spy earlier today and nearly found out who RJ is! Shock Fortunately, they have spoiler warnings at the head of some of their articles....

Gah! I really thought we were going to find out last night. I did wonder if RJ is more than one person, given the tattoos, but I am just not sure. I think Jane had the place rigged with lots of other guns and devices under all those sheets so that is why it blew...possibly. I think the person who was shot was Bertrum as he appeared to have a leg 'piece' that he was making for (I may have imagined this though).

Can someone who knows the identity just tell me if we find out next week or not please?

It's all getting a bit silly though isn't it? Right at the start red John was just a serial killer who targeted Jane because Jane had said he would be able to find him or something.
Now it's all secret government related and the tiger stuff is ridiculous!

Just watched last nights episode, I hope we find out next week and not have to wait longer. DH has suggested we download the next episodes, may well do as worried am going to find out by accident!
I think it could be Brett Stiles as he didn't have a weapon ?doesn't feel he needs one as the others protect him. Although he seems a little weak to have been so violent.
I think Bertram/FBI guy/Sheriff are more followers, it also seemed this way when they were in Bertrams office and Jane came in to see them all a few episodes ago. I don't think it's Heffner.
But none of it really makes sense (perhaps as they didn't think the RJ storyline would continue for as long as it has and so there are inconsistencies).

Cho is really sexy. That's all I can focus on really when watching it now; the rest of it is getting so ridiculous. Red John boils down to a kind of murdering mason.

It is a bit silly, maybe the RJ storyline exploded and they just went with it which is why there are so many loose ends/inconsistencies.
