The Mentalist Season Six - 9pm, Channel 5, 29th October

I'm looking forward to it starting again. I've been working my way through the DVDs so am pleased the new ones start soon.

And they say we'll eventually find out who Red John is this series!

Brilliant episode this week. I couldn't help feeling a bit sorry for Bob even though he was seriously deranged. So, 5 suspects left.

Is Bob the one that burned the faces off Red john suspects? Tbh I'm getting a bit fed up with it all - this new tiger tiger thing - is it that poem?

Yep, we know Red John's a Blake fan.

I'm not quite sure how (or whether even) he links to the CBI though. I suppose it would make sense if he were Bertram, but you'd think he'd try and keep his 'Red John' hat separate to his 'CBI (and possibly mass corruption) hat'.

I wasn't sure about that. Presumably he is beginning to get worried (he knows we're down to five (?) suspects) so is doing everything himself?

That man with the report was a tyger person, I'm sure. Haffner too I think, all the 'warnings' and 'helping each other'.

I think one of the team is a Red John groupie. I'm waiting for one of them to say Tiger Tiger.
If not, then one of them will be killed by Red John I think.

I know a spoiler about actors, not the identity of RJ.

Am avoiding googling now that the reveal has happened in the US - the identity of Red John is now out there should we choose to find it! Grin

I'm starting to think it's Jane. All this time he has been suffering from some sort of psychosis and Red John is another other persona of his.

They're making the rest of this series, so maybe. Unless that's just tying up loose ends? I don't know.

I know we find out who Red John is, but I don't know whether we 'find' him if that makes sense or whether he goes on the run.

I don't want to Google now they've seen it in America, but I think I read it was ep 7 or 8, so maybe 3 weeks more for us?

Thank Polkadots. I don't know why but I don't think it's Bertram. I think its either going to be the cult leader or he will play a big part in the reveal, don't know why though.

It was a bit full on and gory. I'm always very disturbed by how undisturbed Patrick can be by death: his obsession with Red John makes him very detached from the world around him. I think Simon Baker portrays the almost sociopathic side of him very well under the smiley blonde veneer.

Why do you think that Kirkland killed the guy in the hospital that Lorelie had tortured? Wouldn't he have tried to get him to say who RJ was?

Agree, Simon Baker plays the part v v well.

I don't think any of the team are in the 'Tyger' club, they have taken so many risks to support Jane.
