I have just been reading that the John Lewis advert this year is going to feature Lily Allen. And she will be singing 'Somewhere Only we Know' by Keane. Which is (a nice enough song) but not what we have come to expect from JL Christmas covers. Keane must be chuffed though, what with having a greatest hits album/spitting up thing to promote

I'm hoping it's a rumour, and a twee version of a Rawk classic will still be in the pipeline.

I quite like Keane. And Lily Allen? What will she do with the DARNcing and CARn't and breathy nonsense? Not her bag, surely?
