X FACTOR Week 2-the RESULTS THREAD! Who do we love, and who will be heartbroken?

Raahh · 20/10/2013 10:25

I have woken up this morning with a sore throat and no voice.
Sadly, the same is probably not true of the contestants. Grin

So, I thought I would start the results thread now, in case I am too ill to care laterGrin

I have replaced Wine with lemsip, which is probably a good thing at 10.30am.

So -the Merkins versus....

I think Draggy is going to stick around for a whileSad

NeverTalks: maybe merkin hair is attractive and sexy to teenage girls though. I fear my idea of sexy is a long way off what contemporary 15 year olds approve of.

Raahh · 20/10/2013 21:02

Arbitrary- you are right!

I'd be happy for Screwloose to go, though. Cruise ship fodder. Grin

Such a shame. The best nicknames always go early on in the shows... Sad

Raahh · 20/10/2013 21:03

We've still got Joan. That's an inspired nnGrin

Mittens: it must be nice when your mentor doesn't even pretend to believe that you have any potential. Why did shazza let poor old draggy through. Se must have known this would be the inevitable result. She could have spared her the man in drag comments from the judges and everything.

'Til next week Smile

And I really loathe Thicke

ArbitraryUsername · 20/10/2013 21:04

Joan is a brilliant nn. Not least because it confuses newcomers so brilliantly. They're always my favourite ones.

LineRunner · 20/10/2013 21:09

The Ofcom site is fucked. Can't make a complaint.

ArbitraryUsername · 20/10/2013 21:15

It's because all the people who least complained about thicke are now complaining about Sharon forcing herself on Louis. Because, well, that's really not good.

It's been a poor show for consent tonight.

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 20/10/2013 21:16

Same time, next week. As long as the bloody Internet works on holiday - I can't face watching without a thread.

ArbitraryUsername · 20/10/2013 21:18

And, on the bright side, next week's show should be shorter because we're one more act down. So hurrah to that.

LineRunner · 20/10/2013 21:20

Yes, I would like to complain about Sharon Osbourne's behaviour as well.

anon2013 · 20/10/2013 21:22

I missed Thicke what happened?

Lighthousekeeping · 20/10/2013 21:25

It's just a very ageist show

AmazingBouncingFerret · 20/10/2013 21:25

He did a great impression of simon cowell doing an impression of robin thicke...

I have just been reading that the John Lewis advert this year is going to feature Lily Allen. And she will be singing 'Somewhere Only we Know' by Keane. Which is (a nice enough song) but not what we have come to expect from JL Christmas covers. Keane must be chuffed though, what with having a greatest hits album/spitting up thing to promote

Sad I'm hoping it's a rumour, and a twee version of a Rawk classic will still be in the pipeline.

SuePurblybilt · 25/10/2013 17:32

I quite like Keane. And Lily Allen? What will she do with the DARNcing and CARn't and breathy nonsense? Not her bag, surely?
Still, as long as it's kooky. Kooky for the baby Jesus.
