Oh no. It would just be One Night Only with Draggy though.... Grin

SuePurblybilt · 13/10/2013 17:03

Aldi is POSHER than Lidl. It goes Aldi/Lidl/Iceland.
I have a more up to date list than that but you'll have to wait until i finish working. which is what I'm doing now. Can't you tell?

ArbitraryUsername · 13/10/2013 17:21

I find it hard to differentiate between Aldi and lidl, tbh. Aldi has spent much more on advertising so that middle class types will go in to buy wine, dishwasher tablets and fake choco leibnizes.

I never go to lidl any more, simply because there are several Aldis such closer to my house. They vary in how much they're like cold war east Germany. One of them is pretty dire, the other is OK (and has a 'continental' section, which the other one seems to lack). Last time I was in the cashier was talking about how one of the security guards at the other one got stabbed that week, and how they'd only had a customer tazed in comparison. You don't get such entertainment in sainsbos!

I used to go to lidl all the time when I was a student, because it was all lidls in the relevant parts of Edinburgh and no Aldis.

Don't some lidls have a fancy bakery section in the store now or something?

ArbitraryUsername · 13/10/2013 17:22

And where does farmfoods fit on the hierarchy, sue? Grin

SuePurblybilt · 13/10/2013 17:28

What is farmfoods? We don't have them in Devon. We have farms Grin
One of our Lidls has a bakery. Not sure I'd call it fancy.

ArbitraryUsername · 13/10/2013 17:30

Basically another version of Iceland. farmfoods.

SuePurblybilt · 13/10/2013 17:34

Aha. Someone explained Beejams (Bejam?) to me, OF AN ILK, I do see.
We don't have Greggs here either. No wonder I cling to Lidl like Kate Winslet to an old door.

Raahh · 13/10/2013 17:42

Sue- where I live, Greggs is the posh bakery.

We have a Pound Bakery- 2 sausage rolls/pies/pasties, or combination thereof for a £1.
Dh loves it Grin

My local greggs is their flagship store! Grin

How can you not have a greggs?

LineRunner · 13/10/2013 17:55

Didn't Lymington refuse to have riff raff shops last year?

LittleMissWise · 13/10/2013 18:04

We don't have a Gregg's or a MaccyD's in our county!

SuePurblybilt · 13/10/2013 18:17

It is not my CHOICE not to have a Greggs. Though I don't want one. What would I buy there? Nasty poison sausage? No tyvm.
Maybe it's a West Country thing. Protecting the artisan pasty Grin

Diamondcassis · 13/10/2013 18:25

Aaaagh, was at a dinner last night so missed the lot. Can you please give me high (low?) lights to catch up on itvplayer now, no time to watch all esp with ridiculous ads before each video (good for setting tBle in though).

What are these fake choc leibniz? I need them.

LittleMissWise · 13/10/2013 18:42

It was shite really Diamond. Shelley, aka Draggy Nanfucker, is in the bottom 2 and Sharon likes Dermot's full package.

DH just FaceTimed me. He said 'why we going to see George Michael?" I was like "eh?" He said "you know, that George Michael who does XFactor!"Hmm. "Gary Barlow, you mean?" "Yes didn't he used to be in Wham!"

He's not even drunk, it's 14:41 down there!

Diamondcassis · 13/10/2013 18:53

Thanks wise maybe I won't bother. Did just watch Loose Screw, mainly to see glossy mane ( impressive hair improvement), but whole thing sounds very underwhelming.

Have an American teen staying with us this week who has heard of NONE of the judges, nor Robbie W, nor anyone else in Judges Houses. Knows 1 Direction though ...

SkodaLabia · 13/10/2013 19:00

My suggestions would be Misdirection for the girlz and Steak Bake for Shelly.

SkodaLabia · 13/10/2013 19:00

Oops, Hannah.

LittleMissWise · 13/10/2013 19:07

I'm sure Shelley would love a Steak bake, Skoda!Wink

ArbitraryUsername · 13/10/2013 19:11

Aldi sell chocolate covered butter biscuits for about 70 or 80p a packet. They are pretty much exactly the same as choco Leibniz. But much cheaper. DH loves them. They come in dark and milk chocolate.

You should get some. Grin
