this has only been suggested as a direct result of the bbc having edited the show to give this impression, ruby has been praised for things other contestants have been criticised on. they're now panicing backtracking in the press for fear of a favourtism outcry if when ruby wins.

just been on frances' blog and it is lovely, as is she! i really do want her to win.

i wish there were more recipes on her.blog though, would love to try and completely cock up copy some of her creations

Well did anyone notice the 'spat' between Beca and Frances ? Becca grew horns yesterday and her face when Frances cuddled her when she been 'let go'.!!!

I'm thinking that Frances may sneak ahead next week and grab the title. Last year's winner, John, did just this at the last minute. Frances's creativity is just amazing - hers are always the cakes I want to see and her canapes were fab last night. She does like carrots though doesn't she?

Frances' blog is brilliant and bonkers. She's so great at drawing etc. I'm v jealous. My 2 year old holds a pencil better than me!

I do miss the comedy of the Dalek and of Howard's hilarious (and a bit dodgy) flavour combinations. Last year we had the brilliantly dry Brendan who seemed a giggle and the winner John who was ok too.

I think Mel and Sue are being hilarious this year too.

Frances would definitely sell more books - people like to look at pictures in recipe books.

She just seems like a sweet, uncomplicated person who would never give you any grief. The way she puts forth her talent is infinitely more palatable to me that Kimberley or Ruby. I'd LOVE it if she pulled some flavour dynamite out of the bag for the final and blew everyone away but I can't help but think she's destined for bronze.....

I must say Frances did grow on me; I think she has been a tremendously good sport in taking PH's vitriol - it's noticeable how much he enjoys putting her down, it makes me uncomfortable.

kucumber Becca said something like "what's it like on planet Frances?" and she replied "I like being a bit mentalist" She's nice not up herself at all; shame she can't quite stop her obsession with the look as opposed to the flavour of her baking she'd win for sure if she could .

oh yes ppeat I spotted that. I have decided I don't like Beca at all, I find her a bit 6th form and fake and she sounds like she has something up her nose. I thought Frances's reaction to that was great too, she managed to defend herself without being snippy.

I don't get that Many Faces of Ruby blog thing... is is just pictures of her or is there commentary somewhere?

I'm on my phone so perhaps am missing something or, more likely, I'm just not down with the kids and don't get what its trying to do...?

I think beca and frances were just having a joke about her being a bit mental, the same way one of us might tease a friend by calling them mental, I don't think it was her being mean they're just good friends after all this time....

have to say, I think PH treats the folk equally ....it's the food that he comments on not the people , and his comments are def not half as bitchy as some on here.....in fact I think all 4 presenters are great

If anyone 's got the rewind facility it'd be worth just looking at the end of Tuesday's because Becca's face is a picture (not a pretty one ) when Frances is hugging her.
