Accidentally filled up the last thread without realising.

Have the day off today so can sit and watch the tennis scores update.

We still have Tennis Tennis too.

Ferrer should be OK. Wawrinka's got the harder draw.

I need to stop playing the Google doodle and do something.

Raahh · 27/09/2013 11:39

the google doodle has reminded me dd1 wanted to get her sister a pinata for her birthday. I am not sure it is such a good idea Grin.

Raahh · 27/09/2013 13:41

Nooooooo! Ferrer has lost Sad

JuanPotatoTwo · 27/09/2013 16:49

Poor Ferrer. Delbonis out too. What shall we wear to the wedding? Think Potato will be there?!

Raahh · 27/09/2013 16:53

We will need to wear hats. In the shape of Tennis. And Wimbledon purple and green. We will look ridiculous very smartGrin

I think Potato should go. To makeup for getting beaten in the Wimbledon semi, its only fairGrin

Raahh · 27/09/2013 16:54

Stan is through at least. Tennis

JuanPotatoTwo · 27/09/2013 17:00

This from Potato's FB page:

Después de un viaje eterno, llegamos a Tokyo. Pregunté dónde quedaba el baño y me dijeron: "Leé los carteles", jaja.

After a long trip, we arrived in Tokyo. I asked for the bathroom and they said: "Read the sign," haha.

Followed by a picture of a big sign all in Japanese writing Smile

JuanPotatoTwo · 27/09/2013 17:03

Oh yes, purple and green very stylish not. And tennis racquet shaped handbags? Yes, least Djok could do is invite Potato. We'll bring our dc to distract any female companions Pot and Nadal may have with them and bob's your uncle!

Raahh · 27/09/2013 17:32

Grin @ Del Potato

Been reading up on the bloke who beat Ferrer-he speaks a lot of languages. Japanese does not seem to be amongst them thoughGrin

SadBadMadFat · 27/09/2013 17:38

have you heard in the tennis news about Martina Hingis and her latest crime (after drugs/ adultery twice) ? aparantly her, her mum and mums boyfriend beatn up her estranged hubby.

cant link but its in google euosport tennis news.

ClayDavis · 27/09/2013 17:56

Can I wear a tennis racket shaped fascinator?

I obviously jinxed Ferrer this morning. I'm going to stop giving any opinions on who might beat who or how easy somebody's draw is.

Not heard about hingis off to look now.

JuanPotatoTwo · 27/09/2013 18:13

You can wear anything you like Clay so long as it's green and/or purple.

Yes I'd heard about Hingis Sad, she's a bit of a one isn't she?!

Raahh · 27/09/2013 18:25

Shock @ Hingis. She always looked so sweet and innocent- when she was 14Grin.

It does make you wonder about so much pressure at a very young age- the current trend for players maturing physically and mentally later is probably a healthier one. Jennifer Capriati didn't fare so well either.

ClayDavis · 28/09/2013 11:34

Stan's out now too. Tennis

JuanPotatoTwo · 28/09/2013 18:34

Raonic beat Gasquet Sad

Raahh · 28/09/2013 19:06

Oh Stan[sad

and I'm still holding a grudge against RaonicGrin

JuanPotatoTwo · 28/09/2013 19:39

Yes me too Raahh, I metaphorically spit when I hear/see his name!

What do you think happened to everyone else on these threads? Wonder how seize's course is going?

ClayDavis · 28/09/2013 20:04

Keep wondering about seize haven't seen her around in ages.

Raahh · 29/09/2013 21:11

ooh- Sousa, the one who beat Ferrer , won in Kuala Lumpur.

order of play for Tuesday, Beijing

Hewitt is in action at themoment, but I imagine his is one of the last matches, which is why Monday's schedule has already gone pfft.

Djoko, Nadal, Ferrer all in action Tuesday.

I love the court names in BeijingGrin

China is very much on my mind at the moment, as it is only 5 weeks tomorrow til ds goes. In fact, it would have been 2 weeks if they'd gone with the original dateShock

JuanPotatoTwo · 30/09/2013 13:51

Tsonga, Dogsbollocksoff, Nieminin (may have a few too many 'n's and 'i's in there) and Almagro all through first round in Tokyo. Not q sure when Pot playing, off to check in a min. He's been very active on FB these last few days, it's a bit disconcerting cos it makes you feel as if you actually know him (if only!) Meant to ask earlier, did any of you read the diaries written by Thomas Drouet? He was Tomic's hitting partner, the one John Tomic assaulted. Those Tomics, esp Tomic Senior, are what you might call Not Nice.

Your ds is going to China Raahh? That's some school trip, better than the naff motor museum trips we used to go on. How long for? Bet he's excited (and that you're apprehensive - but he'll be fine! Not quite on the same level, but my 9yr old ds went on a PGL thing a couple of weeks ago or five days and did he miss us? Did he hell!)

Have headache today (which is assuredly not helped by being on here!) and want to hide under my duvet. Hope you're all ok.

JuanPotatoTwo · 30/09/2013 13:54

So Pot is second match up on centre court tomorrow. First match starts at 11am (Tokyo time). His flight took 37 hrs with 4 hr stopover in London - if I'd have known he could've come here for his tea, bless him!

Raahh · 30/09/2013 14:01

37 hours!!Poor Pot!

Yep, very nervous. He's only 10. It's all been very rushed, and huge amounts of fund raising has gone on to pay for it all. He's very excited, I keep thinking a few more years would have been betterGrin

We went to the Isle of man in my final year of primary. It rained, and I had a miserable time. Grin

ClayDavis · 30/09/2013 19:22

He'll have a great time, Raahh. A much better time than you will sat at home worrying about him. Grin

We were supposed to go to France in year 6 but somehow ended up going to Jersey instead.

Rafa, Ferrer and Robson all playing in Beijing tomorrow.
