Ok, proper snot and snivelling here.

That is powerful, wow.

bettterandnow · 24/10/2013 21:44

could hardly breath!!! Absolute MAGIC!!!

difficultpickle · 24/10/2013 21:47

No, not at all impressed with the head. He is trying to be mates with the pupils and I didn't think he was very good at managing the boy who went off the rails after his brother died or some of the other pupils we have seen him attempt to manage.

I don't want my ds's head to be mates with him at all. I want a head that ds admires and respects and looks up to. I really don't see that in this head.

My head was an odious man who ruled the school through fear and didn't command anyone's respect. He expelled most of the sixth form on the last day of term for being 10 minutes late back from lunch.

Janus · 24/10/2013 21:48

Christ, that was amazing, good boy!!

Janus · 24/10/2013 21:50

Ok, I don't see it as being mates, I would much rather he be approachable and really understand his school which is understanding the pupils, I think!

difficultpickle · 24/10/2013 21:55

I think the matey approach creates confusing boundaries, as shown in how the head failed to handle difficult pupils.

beanandspud · 24/10/2013 21:59

Wiping away tears here. Wow.

bettterandnow · 24/10/2013 21:59

GuillotineLibertine73 · 24/10/2013 22:00

Blubbing...

Notonaschoolnight · 24/10/2013 22:00

Oh crying my leg off right now

Alexandrite · 24/10/2013 22:00

Will be watching on catch up, but I'm impressed by Janus' s dc head knowing over a thousand names.

difficultpickle · 24/10/2013 22:01

Some of the teachers are inspirational, the head just is not and didn't show much in the way of leadership (or of course it could have been edited to look like that). I wouldn't rate a stuck up jobsworth either.

DameEdnasBridesmaid · 24/10/2013 22:02

So moving, his classmates in tears, the teachers in tears and me! Bloody marvellous. I love muskrat.

Goosebumps and tears in eyes here. How come his speech therapist didn't recommend using music earlier?

Janus · 24/10/2013 22:07

But how could the head have such good teachers and support staff if they didn't believe in him? I still like him!
That episode was amazing, my oldest and I literally stopped and looked at eachother open mouthed when mushariff spoke so wonderfully!

ExcuseTypos · 24/10/2013 22:12

It was an amazing moment to watch! Made me cry.

DH is snoring on the sofa, so I'm going to watch it again tomorrow with himGrin
