Federer has withdrawn from montreal citing a back injury-rare for him.

dont know if rafas playing, havent heard hide or hair (or bum!) from him since Wimbledon .

I fell asleep downstairs- and woke 40 mins later to find nadal had walked the 4th set and MN had gone off

vamos!!! Brilliant result- very happy indeed. Won't be long til the number one ranking is back where it belongs too

Well, got to say it - the best man won. Congratulations to Rafa. His reaction when he won brought a real lump to my throat - at one point he was lying face down on the ground sobbing.

Some breath-taking rallies, it's exhausting just watching these two. That 54 shot rally was unbelievable, I couldn't contain myself from shouting, despite the fact I was watching on my Ioad in bed next to a sleeping dh! I wanted Djok to win, and felt sad for him, but no doubting who was in charge of that match.

So, now what do we do/watch?!

No idea what an "Ioad" is.

MN went off at the time Nadal won. I was going to post but just got a message about making significant changes to the site. Then it came back and I couldn't work out whether it was my eyes or it just looked weird.

Perfect result enough of a challenge to be interesting but after the second set the result didn't seem in doubt.

I got the site message too- it was very frustrating

i am just so glad Rafa has proved the nay-sayers wrong- so many of the media,after he lost at Wimbledon had decided this was it- the year both Nadal and Federer hung up their racquets. That was despite him winning half a dozen tournaments since injury, including RG. So I'm really thrilled he won- I just wish I'd been able to 'see' it. .

Only a 120 points to regain the number 1 spot. And since he can only gain points over the next few months, he should do it.

Djoko will be back- and I think this means he gets his 100th week at number too, which is an amazing achievement in itself. (Nadal has already done this).

I usually use the desktop site or the mobile site if I'm on my phone.

How much flesh do you think is too much flesh? Wouldn't want to get MN banned if someone's using one of those porn filters that bans sites with pictures containing too many flesh coloured pixels.

That was off the mobile site, using my iPhone 4S. The option doesn't appear on the mobile site on my kindle fire.

Supprise, surprise, nothing is ever quite as good on the fire.

I was just checking the schedule - and it looks like Cilic is on the list for Kuala Lumpar/Beijiing/Shanghai. Wonder if this means the drug rumours have come to nothing? or it's just a list based on previous years? I know he's pulled out of the Davis cup team.

And then I realised had they not put the dates back to November, Ds would have been in Shanghai during the week of the tournament!!(not that they are going to watch tennis- and they'll be in Nanjing for the most part).
